In Seattle, hotel prices are through the roof and Pride is the weekend after next. There are a few hotties visiting, but not sure how they’re paying for the hotels. For example, the Marriott Courtyard neat Seattle Center is $490/night!

I was in Vancouver at the beginning of June. Almost every hotel was between $400 and $500 per night including the one that was $150 a night for me at the beginning of April. I get the impression this is making a bigger impression on Vancouver in terms of crowds. It's hardly noticeable in Toronto.

Yeah, Vancouver is crazy right now. When I was up in BC a few weeks ago, I stayed in White Rock instead for $129.00 USD. No one else at the Blaine crossing heading into Canada and just one car ahead of me returning to the US the next morning.
