I know, nasty topic, but this lawyer's (very hot man by the way) video is chilling. Wonder if it's a straight thing, like cops only go for male client hiring female prostitutes. Anyone here, though I doubt that if you were prosecuted the last thing you'd want to be is on site like this.

seems strange that the "largest criminal defense law firm" in Arizona needs to be advertising on youtube.....

based on years of forum chatter here, arrests of gay clients or providers seem uncommon.......though not involving money (prostitution), famous arrests like George Michael and Larry Craig ("lewd behavior" or similar) came about only because of orchestrated stings after specific community complaints to the local police......

most of us have seen the 'cops-in-the-hotel-room-next-door' thing on "Cops" using audio/video and an undercover cop (as client or provider) meeting the provider/client and specifically discussing "money for a sex act" to get the proof......after getting that specific confirmation, cops bust in thru the connecting hotel room door......these stings are highly planned by local police/sheriff and take time and staff, so aren't too common....and they could be for public relations rather than as a result of specific complaints.....specifically targeting gay clients/providers doesn't seem to be a priority, typically, but I do remember a video years ago of a male provider being arrested after an undercover male cop, as client, nearly badgered the provider to agree to "money for sex"......

these days, much more important to law enforcement jurisdictions is fighting human trafficking (and resultant prostitution, usually females)......I don't think anybody here on the forum is conducting human trafficking(!).......

as always, using this forum, meeting with established providers, and not discussing money at the meeting is the advice.....get money stuff hammered out in pre-meet planning (including how/when payment will be made) and confirm with the provider that you don't want to talk money in person......

Absolutely he's looking for business. He's got a lot of competition. Take I-17 or I-10 through the Phoenix metro area and count how many "attorney" billboards you see along the interstate. He may just be looking for business but my initial reaction is that dude has got some pretty big balls to make a video advising anyone charged with soliciting to contact his law firm. You're not gonna see THAT on a roadside billboard. I want to believe that my compadres here at CoM are all doing what they have to do in order to minimize exposure; see @azdr0710 above. I get great advice, great insights and great recommendations here.

Sadly, yes, it is possible.  It has to do with vulnerability and power dynamics.  While it can be assumed that younger people have more inherent vulnerability, anyone who is in desperate enough situation can be taken advantage of by traffickers regardless of age, gender, size, etc.   There are monsters out there who prey upon those individuals.

how can we identify them?  How can we help them? if this problem is happening in our community we need to shine a light on it and rescue the victims.

sobering video. It's something I'm always a bit nervous about. We have let our guard down because we think that cops usually focus on men hiring women. But the fact is they would be just as happy arresting one of us as they would a hetero hiring a call girl. Might enjoy it more as it would produce more of a scandal.

That’s why regulars are so preferable. I’ve decided not to engage several providers lately since my spidey sense was elevated.

Providers who are new but are very throughly reviewed are another option in addition to regulars.

I'm not sure there is a way, unless the individual reveals they are being coerced by someone.
