I, too, had a friend in high school who said the same thing.

Interestingly, the chance of being born gay increases with each successive male offspring from the mother.  It may be partly Nature's way of removing the competition for women in tribes with lots of males.

My spouse was the oldest of four brothers: the two older boys were gay, and the two younger boys were straight, so they obviously didn't conform to that pattern.

There are some cultures in which it is okay for close family members of males (e.g., fathers and sons) to kiss one another, and of course it is normal for men in certain situations to share sleeping accommodations (e.g., military comrades in battle), but in most cases behavior that is usually indicative of sexual intimacy between two males is frowned upon, whereas the same two behaviors between two women is usually considered just a sign of close friendship.

Agreed, but neither does her husband sleeping with the other husband. Unless this AI thing has gotten completely out of hand.

With AI's acceleration being 95% motivated by young men seeking "hands-free",             out of hand is a given.

Bisexuality (real not being gay and in denial) is judged differently for men, most women might find it disgusting, but straight men might find interesting having a bisexual wife as long as they're allowed to join.

I'm bi-/pansexual and I’ve seen a whole range of reactions from potential partners as they learned that I’m Bi.  The most shocking to me was having a woman respond with disgust who was also bisexual and very loud about being so.

I’ve had partners who were intrigued by the idea.  Gay men are usually unfazed by the news.

If I look for another long term relationship someday, looking for another bi-/pan- and poly partner will be a priority for me regardless of my new partner’s gender identity or biological sex.
