Phlmuscle Posted Tuesday at 03:24 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:24 PM Just saw on Facebook that Matt has resigned from Johnsons

lerbut23 Posted Tuesday at 05:19 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:19 PM That club has been on a downward spiral for the last 6 months or so. They had a pretty outstanding roster of dancers at one point and they have all moved on. The crowds have been pretty light the last few visits even on weekend nights.

Which location are you speaking about?
Poppie Posted Wednesday at 11:52 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:52 AM I go to the Tampa club from time to time. Always fresh faces and a few semi regulars in the house. ALL types .... All sexy. Always fun. I don't think that anyone really cares about Matt resigning. + jeezopete and brettnyc 2
Atlanta_Guy Posted Thursday at 08:59 PM Posted Thursday at 08:59 PM Johnson’s tampa has received an evictions notice. It appears the new owners are extracting all of the cash flow to pay for the Parliament House reopening. They aren’t paying their bills…:hence the eviction notice + Vegas_Millennial 1

It makes one wonder whether Johnsons in Wilton Manors will meet the same fate. BTC 🤡
+ KD74 Posted Friday at 12:27 AM Posted Friday at 12:27 AM What a sad outcome. I enjoy Johnsons and hate to see them close this way. + Vegas_Millennial and + jeezopete 2
Poppie Posted Friday at 12:29 PM Posted Friday at 12:29 PM Say it isn't so !! What is the source of that "rumor" + Vegas_Millennial 1
Atlanta_Guy Posted Saturday at 03:57 PM Posted Saturday at 03:57 PM (edited) There are multiple sources. I don’t do rumors. I’m talking to people who know. In Tampa and fort Lauderdale. It’s worse than I thought. They can’t even buy liquor right now because they haven’t paid their liquor distributor. They haven’t paid their cleaning crews… I’m not sure if they have made payroll. Here is what I’ve learned about the “Pride holdings group” everyone knows they have no money. They haven't been able to finish the build out on their new nightclub (Parliament House) since before Covid. And then they leased another building to open it first and the alcohol wet zoning had dried up and they couldn't get a liquor license for it and it is just sitting. So they have 2 unfinished properties. And the owners are known crooks. The only reason Parliament House went under was the owners took all the money and didn't pay any bills and filed for bankruptcy multiple times. But the last time they filed, the judge pulled the chair out from under them and said they were intentionally defrauding the State of Florida, The IRS, ETC. And declined to let them file and made them liquidate all their assets to pay off bills. Edited Saturday at 04:58 PM by Atlanta_Guy BSR 1
Poppie Posted Saturday at 07:12 PM Posted Saturday at 07:12 PM I was in Tampa recently. Bartenders were cleaning because the cleaning crew did not show up. If you don't get paid, you don't show up. Often boxes of liquor are on the floor waiting to be put away. I've wondered if they have been shopping. Worked in a restaurant like that. Pretty shady and a very clear signal that something is wrong. I know first hand that if you don't pay your distributor you are in the kind of trouble that's tough to get out of. And as an employer, I know what can happen if you start missing payroll. What a shame. For a time both clubs seemed to have been thriving. Surely poor management by Matt and probably other investors is the root cause of this mess. He has failed in every attempt to open other clubs. Looks like we know why. I hope that someone is found that is stable enough and has a huge shovel can dig them out of this mess. LOVE these clubs. + Vegas_Millennial 1
EZEtoGRU Posted Saturday at 07:53 PM Posted Saturday at 07:53 PM Is it only the Tampa club that is in trouble or is the Fort Lauderdale location at risk also??
Poppie Posted Saturday at 08:16 PM Posted Saturday at 08:16 PM I'm in FLL this weekend. Doubtful that anyone will talk about it. The Tampa Club/Building is owned by: GO INVESTMENT HOLDINGS LLC Mailing Address 1802 N HOWARD AVE UNIT 4318 TAMPA, FL 33677-9014 Site Address (Club Address) 2606 N ARMENIA AVE, TAMPA

Matt is not responsible for this mess… except in the fact he didn’t do enough investigation on his buyers. Matt has had no control of the money since he sold the business. The new owners are handling all accounting. There has still been revenue coming in. So, how the hell is Matt responsible for the blatant dishonestly of the new owners + Vegas_Millennial and n2guysnatl 1 1

EZEtoGRU Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM Posted yesterday at 12:43 AM I've been in contact with one of the FTL dancers. He and other dancers seem to think the club in Lauderdale is safe...for now.
