Thinking hiring a masseur for the first time off Rentmasseur. Not sure what the expectations are. Are most sessions just actual massages or will there be more action?

You don't want a masseur. You want a escort. Sucking a dick is considered sex by many. You also want mutual touch. Yeah, pretty much a escort. Unless you are willing to pay the price for an escort when hiring.

Sensual/Sexual

Therapeutic 

I'll let others explain because I've never hired neither. But this is my understanding.

You're asking for two things. Is a HE usually expected on RM?  Yes. 
Is a blow job expected? No. 
When I hire I usually state "nude with release?" Almost 100% of the time they say yes. But I don't request oral. That would be escort territory.

If the masseur advertises sensual massage, there’s a good chance there will be an HE.  He’s going to touch you in areas therapeutic-only masseurs don’t.  In my view, getting me all hot and bothered and *not* finishing the job would be cruel.  He might allow some MT but don’t expect much beyond that.  I’ve hired for massages off of both Rentmasseur and Masseurfinder and it’s a crapshoot what you’re going to get.  I’ve been topped, bottomed, sucked, and fucked by guys I’ve found on both of them.  For me, the not knowing is what makes it fun.  If guaranteed sex is the main goal, hire an escort, not a masseur.

Yes, always expect oral sex and touching of genitals during a massage. If you don't receive these, report the masseur or massage establishment to the State Massage Board immediately, complaining that you WEREN'T provided sex.
