Philoxera Posted October 8 Posted October 8 (edited) I’ve posted two inquiries for info on a RM provider in Miami and both posts have disappeared. Am I doing something wrong? Edited October 8 by Philoxera + azdr0710 1
56harrisond Posted October 8 Posted October 8 They appear to have been merged into existing discussions about the same provider. Asterisk, MikeBiDude, peter831 and 5 others 6 1 1

I can’t find where they’ve been merged to. Any info? 5 hours ago, 56harrisond said: They appear to have been merged into existing discussions about the same provider.

The older threads had reflected his then locations of Miami and NYC. The combined thread was retitled to reflect his current location of Atlanta. If you open your CoM profile (the third link above) it will show the two posts you made, and the forum software shows you the current location of your post rather than where you originally posted it. You can click on that to go to the thread where it now is (from the actual page, not from this screenshot of the two items from your profile). Hope that helps. + Vegas_Millennial, MikeBiDude, Philoxera and 1 other 2 1 1
rvwnsd Posted October 10 Posted October 10 To expand upon @mike carey's post, we like to have one thread per provider to keep the discussions in one place. Before creating a new topic, you can search for an existing topic about the provider using the "Search" field in the upper right corner of each page. mike carey, Philoxera, + JamesB and 4 others 4 1 2
Philoxera Posted October 11 Author Posted October 11 Thank you @mike carey for the detailed reply. Very much appreciated! Thanks too to @rvwnsd. Makes sense to have one thread per provider. I did do an initial search of his name and no results were returned. Not sure what I did wrong. 🤷🏽 + azdr0710 1

Not sure what I did wrong. 🤷🏽 Make sure you are searching the entire board or the subforum within which he would have likely been written about, in this case The Deli. If you are in one of the other subforums the search will not span every location on the board. The disadvantage of the entire board search is pulling up more posts on a search term, but that may be offset by returning the info you seek. Also, I think the merger made by mods here was based on search term in topic headings. If you search now, more chatter on the advertiser from May will come up based on the word NicolasVrn contained in topic titles as well as post content. Those May posts don’t add much worthwhile in this case and were embedded in an inquiry about what provider to choose … merging that would have been unwieldy but in some cases there is useful information that would otherwise have been missed.
