viewing ownly Posted Thursday at 05:01 AM Posted Thursday at 05:01 AM A guy I've had my sights set on for years, AriGypsy, has a 5-day only, $100 "special" before he leaves town. This could be because his place is a mess due to preparing for a long vacation - I've known of at least one other masseur that discounted his donation because he was permanently moving out of State. Another reason I've seen masseurs do this is because they hope to "go out with a bang", and are retiring unannounced. I'll forever kick myself not seeing Gunnar Stone in January of 2024, when he dropped his rate to an unimaginable $130. I had already committed to seeing Rick Kelson, who continues to visit Las Vegas annually. Gunnar called it quits, preferring to travel the World attending raves. OR, business is slow, and this gives the masseur leverage to upsell, and upsell, and upsell. It's guys who think with their dick too often and give in, which is why they'll continue this agitating practice.
+ JamesB Posted Thursday at 10:36 PM Posted Thursday at 10:36 PM On the couple of occasions I’ve hired someone under a so-called ‘special offer,’ the experience has always turned into an upsell from the very beginning. I’ve learned my lesson.
Ali Gator Posted Friday at 12:00 AM Posted Friday at 12:00 AM Maybe they're taking some sound business advice from McDonald's these days ? The burger chain announced this week they are dropping the price on most combo meals starting next month to under $10, after inflating their prices 30-50% since the pandemic. After five years of seeing combo sales rapidly decline (people held back spending $12-15 on a McDonald combo meal), they realized going back to pre-pandemic pricing made more sense. So maybe our providers are concluding the same ? Best to get two clients at $150 each than no clients at $300? + Vegas_Millennial 1
Whoisyourdaddy Posted Friday at 02:48 AM Posted Friday at 02:48 AM I've met a few providers who texted me afterward, asking me to return later that day or the next day at a discounted rate. I only give oral, but one provider said he'd love to do more with me. I was flattered. (Maybe he thought we had unfinished business.) + Vegas_Millennial 1
big-n-tall Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM Posted yesterday at 12:39 PM It could be any number of reasons. Maybe the provider loves sex and keeps their rate low to get more opportunities for encounters. Some may be new to this and their fees are low because they aren’t sure what a good rate is for their time. In my case, I got low rates because I’ve seen a particular provider long term and they decided to drop the rates because we have a good rapport and I’m consistent and a great time. One rather prolific porn actor/provider who I met for overnight only charged 500 for it (not including the cost of his travel). We had been in constant communication about the meet up before it happened. I guess he just got a good vibe from me. He even offered to do a full weekend for 700. Sadly I never got the chance to. He had a major health crisis and retired from both porn work and escorting.
Cretus Posted yesterday at 12:51 PM Posted yesterday at 12:51 PM In markets where people probably charge ridiculously high prices with abandon (say, NYC), a bargain may help you stand out, if it’s not too low. $100 anywhere would strike me as too low, however. I’d be suspicious of what I would experience lol.
Ali Gator Posted yesterday at 01:45 PM Posted yesterday at 01:45 PM One of my regulars (who I met in 2018 and started seeing frequently in 2020-21) reached out to me in June, as I'd been in touch with him since the New Year, but only booked him once in those six months. Quite honestly, I started tapering off with him at the end of 2023 as I was getting a little 'bored' with his massages (though I was also trying to save money, and I did tell him that was the reason I wasn't booking appointments as frequently). Nice enough guy, though, for us to call or text and check up on each other. When he texted me In mid-June, he said he missed me (my last appointment with him was the end of January) and dropped his price $50 (from $200 to $150) for 'Pride Month' if I wanted to book with him. I thanked him and said I'd try to book with him, though I had little free time the next couple of weeks (which was the truth). He reached out again a few weeks later, and said he was having a 'July 4' special at the same discount, and it was through the month of July. Again, I told him I'd try to make time. (In July, I made plans to see two travelers who were visiting at different times). Last night, he texts me and says his 'new rate' just for me, whenever I want to see him is $150. Hmmm. Aside from him, I started going to a new masseur in the area back in March / April. Really like him personally, as well as professionally (one of the best massages ever) and his 'extras' are great. The first appointment was supposed to be $250 /90 minutes (and well worth it) but he ended up charging me $200 'cause I was a nice guy and he enjoyed being with me'. Hmmm. The next two times were also $200 but he stretched the appointments out to 2 hours, so we had 'extra time' and no rushing our playtime. Hmmmm. I need to book an appointment with him after Labor Day, as he told me at my last appointment in June he was going to be traveling in July and August. Looking forward to seeing him again !
