simongayx Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I had a great sensual massage from a provider on Rentmasseur last week. I really wanted to give him a 5 star review. But I notice that Rentmasseur now insists on a phone no. for verification. This didn't used to be the case for those who have an account, and make appointments through the RM messaging system (as I always do). I am uncomfortable providing my cell no. I suspect other clients feel the same way, and that this requirement will reduce further the numbers of reliable reviews on the platform. Am I being overly cautious? soloyo215 and ER12321 1 1

Solution BrooklynIrish Posted June 3 Solution Posted June 3 It used to be if you communicated with the provider on the site, you could leave a review. Depending on how often you engage in this hobby, there are apps like Burner you can use to have a separate number not connected to you. simongayx 1

I don't use my real number (or real name...) when I contact masseurs so RM can have my VoIP number if they want. lol BrooklynIrish 1
italianboyph Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I thought it was always if you had an account and messaged a provider to show you've had interaction with them.

I don't book that often, and rarely leave a review. It was just that this time I really had a good massage, liked the provider, and wanted to help him out. So I frankly don't see how this insistence on phone verification helps either clients or masseurs.
+ KensingtonHomo Posted June 3 Posted June 3 I went to check and realized that, probably because I'm a paid member of Rentmassuer, they do have my phone number. I'm not that worried about it. It's actually an old number that I no longer use.

I was in the same situation a while ago after meeting with an outstanding provider. So I had a lengthy discussion with the RM Webmaster and argued that I am quite convinced that I am not alone requiring discretion and I would assume that they therefore might lose the reviews from a category of subscribers that would be a reliable source, while anyone who is really determined to write a fake review could always find a way around the rules. I am a paying member and I asked the RM Webmaster to escalate this to the Management so hopefully, if there is a reaction from the subscribers, they might change back to the previous rules. simongayx 1
