Suggest we avoid ageism unless with respect to this and other massage providers in the absence of evidence that age amounts to misrepresentation by the provider. I'm suggesting that if YourMasageDay's pics are accurate and his stats are otherwise truthful, his stated age is relatively unimportant.

Especially when a provider doesn't include recent face pix.

I have ZERO interest in hiring old men, so age is VERY important to ME.

This is a business where looks are important. To say that accurate details are unimportant, is a complete dismissal of reality. We all know that these massage ads are selling more than just massage.

I get that ageism exists—and let’s be real, grey hair is a love-it-or-leave-it thing. Some people drool over it, others run for the hills. Either way, it’s all personal preference, so maybe best to skip the whole “-ism” debate.

Now, back to the actual question—did anyone get a reply?

1. For someone claiming 4 years experience, He has three reviews: two from 15th and one from 20th.

2.These headless pics in the age of AI are basically the digital version of “trust me, I’m cute.” and "Let go of the outside world and treat yourself to the care you deserve." Doesn't quite cut it anymore!

Thanks for the offer — I might take you up on it. That said, the "truly headless" photo is debatable. Whoever sent you that message, it’s unfortunate, but to be fair, the photos you have could be seen as suggestive.

I am in the process of scheduling but have not pulled the trigger yet.

He continues to be very professional in his communication. I did not request it, but he gave me the name of his IG profile (I am not sharing this information).  The profile shows a handsome guy showing full body shots in shorts and in speedos.  Everything matches.

Same here.  They can start with their briefs on as long as they come off - the sooner the better.  To me, it is a sign that we can get more playful.

I actually prefer when the massage therapist undresses with me, or invites me to undress him, or says, "How about we undress each other." I've experienced a few of these creative type guys, who know how to create a sensual mood, and boy were those sessions fun and memorable. There are lots of reasons a provider might freeze his ad.  Maybe he's traveling, maybe he's busy in his real life/day job (one guy I used to see was in law school and he froze his account for three months while studying for the bar exam), or maybe he has some personal issues to deal with or just wants to take a break.  I don't think it's rude to send one text along the lines of "I see your ad is frozen, but if you're still seeing clients, I'm interested."  He can always ignore your text, or respond "not now".   Don't pester him, though.  I would think a second text or a phone call would border on rude.  

I do the same thing with expired ads.  My habit is to put a provider's phone number in the notes on my RM buddy list so I have it handy even when the ad is expired.  From what I can tell, the expiration is often a money thing or an organization thing (the provider forgot to pay the fee) and the provider is still happy to hear from clients or potential clients.

With the enormous caveat that I'm a client, so I don't know how a provider might see contacting them in those circumstances, and not all providers might have the same opinion, I agree with @jackcali that it wouldn't be rude. I would use RM messenger rather than a phone number I had saved, as they use RM only for their business, and I couldn't be sure that was the case with a phone number. And yes, only one message. Consider also that freezing an ad is a deliberate step they've taken, but 'expired' could be either deliberate or accidental.

Thanks for the clarifications, Mike.  I had thought that RM messenger was disabled for frozen ads (as it is for expired ones), but I may be wrong.  Thinking more about my proposed text, while it would be fine as an RM message, as a text it should be more discreet (not use the word "client", etc.) to address your concern about the number being multi-purpose.

His ad is frozen and there is a statement on it as follows:

"YourMassageDay have temporarily frozen their membership and you cannot contact this user at the moment. Please try again later."

The 'email me' and 'call me' functions are blacked out.  RM does indeed disable contact information when the ad is frozen.  It sort of makes sense.

I will tactfully contact him - just once - on the cell phone number that I have saved.
