New Years Eve Fireworks

Just watched the Hong Kong New Years Eve fireworks display on TV, and it was made abundantly clear that no-one should even think about upstaging Hong Kong's fireworks display.  It was beyond amazing.

China is the world’s largest manufacturer of fireworks, producing around 90% of the global supply. Not surprising.

Yes, largest producer and largest exporter of fireworks, however, the artistry of their presentation is not assembly line.

I’ve always found the Times Square NYE Ball Drop to be underwhelming… this will be the first year (in memory) that I will not be in front of a TV at midnight to watch, and I can’t say I’ll miss anything!

Agree.

China and Italy are the two people you go to if you want a beautiful, traditional pyro show.

Where the game is changing are the US-based tech companies who are doing incredible things with LEDs and drones.

The event got heavily rained on. Even thunder and lightning. A presage of the year to come??
