jackcali
So I'm a non-premium member of RM, meaning I can't see the premium pics. Here's my question. Who decides which pics are premium and which are generally available? I can't seem to make any sense of what's put behind the paywall. Some providers' ads have all PG-13-rated pics generally available and (from what I can tell through the blurring) all X-rated pics and videos behind the paywall. Other providers have ads with plenty of dick pics for all to see. I would imagine that if providers make the choice, they would want to show everything. They have no incentive to hide any pics unless their plan is to limit their marketing only to premium RM members, which I think is a dumb idea. If RM is making the choice, though, it's not done very consistently, at least based on my seeing the pics on one side of the paywall. Can any providers on here share how it works? And, no, I'm not going to spring for premium membership just to find out! I know it's not that much money, but for reasons of privacy I won't give them my information. Thanks. Jamie21
If I try to post an explicit pic to my profile the system rejects it. Those kind of pics have to go in my private gallery. I think the system must use some kind of AI to review pics because one or two slip through occasionally. It’s fair enough that the explicit pics are only available to subscribers because that proves they’re of legal age to see that kind of content. The site can’t put those pics on open display where children could possibly come across them. It would undermine the legitimacy of the site. rvwnsd
BuffaloKyle
I'm not 100% sure how it works but when you are logged out of your account none of the public pics visible on an ad will be cock pics. When you are logged in whether or not you are a premium member there can be cock pics that show up in the public gallery. Then there are pics and videos marked with a 🔥 icon that are explicit but are only available to be viewed by premium members. No option or way for nonpremium members to see them. Then there can also be a locked gallery that whether or not you are premium you will need approval from the provider to see. Those can be G rated or explicit. Simon Suraci
It’s arbitrary. On RentMen, I intentionally put all my pics in my public gallery, including explicit full frontal erect ones, and ass pics too. Two of those pics featuring me wearing a leather jockstrap, gag, and blindfold RM forced me put in my private gallery. Apparently those are too racy, but erections are not. I think it’s arbitrary, like they just want something in the “premium” gallery to motivate client members to spend more to access. It’s lame. It makes me look like I’m intentionally setting up my galleries that way, but really RM forces me. On RentMasseur, I intentionally keep all my more explicit photos in the private gallery. I don’t believe they will allow the explicit stuff in public galleries. I share private photos with any client who asks. They don’t have to spend money or risk sharing their information to view my private pics.

It certainly seems that way (except for the explicit videos), but with the tension between providers wanting to make as appealing a presentation as possible (unless they're trying to discriminate between premium and non-premium members) and RM wanting to encourage as much premium membership as possible, you'd think SOMEONE was making a calculated decision. nate_sf
As others have mentioned, it's mostly the provider's decision. The exceptions is where Rentmen's filters move an explicit pic to the private gallery. People will have different reasons for deciding what to put in the public gallery vs. premium or private galleries. Some will just put everything in the public gallery and not bother with the other galleries. Others might only show their face in their private gallery, or only their explicit photos there. For me, the photos I had in my public gallery were the ones I was OK having random people come across and browse, and I'd use the private gallery for the more explicit photos that I wanted someone to have at least a basic RM account to see. I'd provide access to pretty much anyone who wanted it, and it gave me a chance to say hello and thanks at the same time. The premium gallery feature was added a few years back, and I never really understood what the point was since there's also a private gallery. I think as suggested this was probably a pitch to help get more subscribers to pony up for premium. Over the years I haven't noticed much difference in whether someone with a basic account or premium account would end up booking. Right now I'm on hiatus so I only have one photo in my public gallery. I put all the rest in private, and people who had already been given access can still see those even though I let my profile expire. As shown in the screenshot below, providers are also required to have a "G-Rated Main Photo." RM says that's for areas where there are restrictions on what can be shown in the basic profile photo. The screenshot also shows RM's rules for photos. + DrownedBoy
