And news flash to you: I didn’t say that appearance privilege exists just in the gay world. What I was saying in my post for the learning impaired is, essentially, live by the sword, die by the sword: You use your looks to get sex and money, and get caught with your pants down, you get what you deserve.

This is a long thread, so I may be wrong, but I don't think they were linking his appearance to these crimes. They were rather sharing reasons why they disliked him before the last breaking news.

I, myself, have always felt uncomfortable when looking at how this big White man was handling petite Latino and Asian twinks. But that has nothing to do with this trial.

Right. I’m not in the straight world. Therefore how can I be sick of their shallowness (which, it’s debatable whether straights are as shallow as gays. Some would say gay men are far more superficial than straights or lesbians). Also, the topic is a gay man who was arrested for kiddie porn. It’s not about straight men or straight porn stars.

We all are in the straight world the moment we step out of our houses. The gay world is just a subset of the mainstream, which is why there are so many similarities, just like this issue of the exploitation of children.
