I have by several, and if it helps for them to know I’m a serious client and if I trust the provider I don’t have an issue with paying it, their time is just as important as mine.

A bit like restaurants. The only time I did it the guy said you don’t have to pay but I may end up being booked. It made sense. It’s not an easy gig. Especially with NYC overheads.

Agreed.. and the reason why I don’t mind to pay a deposit is because once I booked an appt with a guy and as I was headed to his place he text me and said he had to reschedule because he received an appt from a regular that offered to pay more, I was pissed because I was literally on my way, and in my experience with the guys I paid deposit to my spot is always secure.. luckily I never had anyone run off with my deposit so to speak but I always make sure to only send to guys that are heavily reviewed and seems to be a legit provider.

I know this is off topic, but adding my voice to this: in my experience if you pay a deposit chances are 9:1 that you will get scammed - even if you think it is the best Brazilian escort and your little head is doing the thinking.

Again do your research, make sure the person is heavily reviewed, I for one have never been scammed. Sometimes you have to trust your provider just like we want them to trust that we will pay on the end.. it goes both ways in my opinion
