Because, in my opinion, this topic:

is becoming very long, we could try to summerize it somewhat with the info that's relevant today.

If this doesn't work & you want to reply on the other topic, no hard feelings, I can ask to close this topic.

You're welcum. In the cumming weeks I'll try to summerize the old topic. Meanwhile, if you're looking for (a) Hunq(z) in Barcelona, here's the direct link:

https://www.romeo.com/hunqz/barcelona

This is hilarious. The guy I hooked up with at a beach here is on Hunqz. LMFAO. We exchanged numbers. Imma hit him up and see if he wants to do round 2.

I’m sure this was perhaps discussed somewhere in the decade long thread on Thermas but how does this place exactly work? Sorry have not been to this place before.

I’m guessing it’s a sauna so you aren’t carrying money around etc and only wearing a towel.  Do you meet them at the lockers etc?  You pay after?

It's a sauna so yes, correct, as a client you are also expected (required actually) to wear only a towel. (whether you wear underwear under it or not is up to you. Most don't).

You pay the entree fee, get a key with a locker number and go change. Once you are changed you go down the stairs where the working boys will be waiting or wandering around, and on the bottom most level there's a pool and bar. Some providers will approach you, some won't. If you see someone you like just say "Hey" to them and they will most likely lead the conversation.

Clearly state what you want to happen (suck their dick, have them suck you, get fucked, fuck them, kiss or not,...) and confirm these are things he offers or not (all providers have different limits and things they offer). The standard is 50 euro for one session, no matter what the activity (usually, with some exceptions noted later on), excluding the provider's ejaculation (if you want them to ejaculate, tell them as it's extra money, usually 50 euro extra). There are "strict" tops who sometimes propose to let you fuck them for double the money (so 100 instead of 50 euro for 1 session. I suggest to not do this as they are often not good at bottoming and to search for a true versatile or bottom provider).

If kissing is important to you, ask them to demonstrate to you how they kiss during the conversation. It's forward, yes, but a good kisser will happily oblige and it can save you from disappointment as I've had providers give halfhearted pecks once the session started (when I didn't ask them to show me before).

A session lasts around 20 to 30 minutes (but you as the client should keep track. Most providers will make the session shorter if you don't). The rule of thumb is that it's 50 euro per 30 minutes. So if you were to engage a provider for one hour, it's expected you pay him 100 euro. But always confirm price and duration before starting the session. Some will (jokingly) ask for a tip beforehand, which I always politely decline.

Once you've agreed on everything, it's time to start the session. For this you have 2 options. There are free cabins on the first basement, they have a fixed bench with thin mattresses on them. Some clients find them uncomfortable, for me they work fine. I suggest using the cabins on the left of the stairs (when facing with your back to the stairs) as these have better lighting in them and there are larger cabins. Just ask the provider to get you a larger cabin and they will look for it. Most of the time the larger cabins are in use by providers who are on break (smoking and chatting).

You can also pay for a room. This is always by the hour and they come at various prices, depending on the size. All rooms have a full bed in them with linen and towels so the more expensive ones are simply larger. The comfort remains the same. The price list for the rooms is visible at the entry.

After you are done with the session some providers will take a shower with you, some won't. Then you both go the top floor (street level) where the lockers are. You then get the money from your locker. The provider will be waiting for you in the bathroom next to the entrance (you can't miss it, it will be very clear where it is) and you give them the money there. I don't know why that is the spot but it's been that spot for as long as I've gone there.

The providers don't mind it if you have your phone with you (I use it for Google translate).

If you had a great time with a provider, I suggest you buy them a drink at the bar (if they're not otherwhise engaged with another client). I find it nice chatting to the guys and getting to know them.

I totally understand one might be nervous going for the first time, but I've found that most everyone there (from the staff to the providers) are friendly and want to help you relax because happy, relaxed clients spend more money 😉

Ideal times to go are any day between 4pm and 8pm. The busiest days (with the largest number of providers, but also the most clients) are Friday and Saturday, same time (4pm till 8pm). Outside these hours there will rarely be providers in the sauna.

Hope this helped!

And just to add, if you go outside of those hours (ie, outside of 4PM to 8PM), the providers are almost always top. So if you're looking for a bottom, best to go during those hours.

@Wolfer, when you went during Fridays and/or Saturdays, were there enough hot guys still available despite the number of clients there? Also, how many providers (on average) were there during their busy hours for those days?

Yeah so your feeling is correct: while on Friday and Saturday there are the most number of providers, there are also the most number of clients so it sort of actually feels like there's about the same amount available as on the other days, simply because more of the providers will be busy with clients so fewer provisers are wandering around (because the others are in cabins or in rooms with clients). Still, Friday and Saturday is still your best bet, simply arrive at 3:30pm and wait at the foot of the stairs and watch the guys arrive. 😉

As for a number it is very hard to say as providers come and go. Maybe anywhere between 10 and 20?

Is the Hola Barcelona Card a good experience, or is it more hassle than it's worth?  What museums/attractions are "must do" for a limited 5 day trip in Barcelona?

I was in Barcelona for for almost 2 weeks. I was deciding between Hola Barcelona vs T-mobilitat Usual. I ended up getting T-mobilitat Usual which cost 21 euros for 30 days and has free subway metro access to the airport. Hola Barcelona can give you only 5 days at most and that would cost 40 euros—hence, it was easier for me to choose T-mobilitat Usual which was half the price for longer number of days too.  Also, T-mobilitat Usual is what the locals use, but foreigners can use it. I used its phone app, and I just submitted a copy of my passport and paid 21 euros on the app. There is also a pay-as-you-go version called T-mobilitat Casual, but this does not have free metro to airport (which is like a 5 euro ticket one way).  https://www.tmb.cat/en/barcelona-fares-metro-bus/single-and-integrated/t-usual

Also, if you're in Madrid, avoid the Madrid City Card. I paid 27 euros for that for 4 days and it was not worth it because all the discounts were for attractions I did not want to see (eg, wax museum). It would have been way cheaper if I paid my Madrid transportation with their pay-as-you go commuter card that the locals use.

In my recent experience, both Madrid City Card and Hola Barcelona Card (which are advertised for tourists) are tourist traps and should be avoided.

that's a really low number for a busy Friday/Saturday afternoon. My most recent visits were on a Tuesday at 8PM and Thursday at 8PM too. Each night had about 10 providers. I was expecting it would be 30 on a Friday/Saturday peak time.

What were the Barcelona attractions that you saw that you recommend?  I would like to do one attraction each day besides the Sauna/bars/beach.

On your free days, here are three "modernista"/Art Nouveau sites that are not generally on the tourist "must do" list. But they're just as visually and historically fascinating and important.

I highly recommend them because they don't have the mobs of tourists lined up outside for entry. So you get a much better experience with far fewer people jostling for views inside. And they're very easy to get to by walking or riding the metro a few stops.

  • Recinte Modernista Sant Pau Barcelona -- Visit this complex of Art Nouveau buildings that used to be a major hospital in Barcelona. The interiors are full of exhibits that you tour yourself.
  • image.jpeg.558c5ea7084e0a8d94ff92191b013d9a.jpeg        Hospital de Sant Pau: When Health Care ...

  • Palau de la Música Catalana -- Take the one-hour guided tour of the interior of this famous concert hall. It was designed by the same architect as the hospital complex above.
  • image.jpeg.d0e306d6bcf896b408109409513c06d4.jpeg                         image.jpeg.e0396f42abdc78f56975d036608387b0.jpeg

  • Casa Vicens -- This was the first private home designed by Antoni Gaudí, with stunning rooms inside. It's peaceful and never mobbed like his most famous buildings in the center of town. The surrounding garden is great for photos, and there's also a cafe. Plus you get to visit the traditional Gràcia neighborhood.

20 providers is a lot though, you'd be surprised. Then again, it's incredibly hard to gauge an actual number since on the busy nights, almost all the providers are in cabins with clients at any given time.

You can actually ask the person at the entrance even before you pay. That's what I did those nights. "cuantos chicos hay esta noche"

Architecture: La Sagrada Familia (it's a cathedral) if you like architecture. (TBH, if you've been to St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, any cathedral/church is not worth visiting after that because St. Peter's Basilica is the best one I've seen and it's free.)

Beaches: Sitges Beach (the gay nude beach part of it), Barcelona Beach. They're free.

Museum: Picasso Museum

Avoid: Park Guell — it's basically just a regular park, but they charge people to get in.

You apparently went to the wrong Park Güell, daddy!

There's absolutely nothing "regular" about it.  However, it does get VERY crowded to the point of immobility in certain areas. It gets way too many tourists, and a visit can take a couple of hours.

Thank you.  I'm staying 5 nights in Barcelona then 3 nights in Sitges.  I was planning on visiting the gay beaches in Sitges while there, but was wondering if I should even bother spending a day at the gay beach in Barcelona with so many other tourist things to see.  I think I'll check out Barcelona's gay beach for 1 day, and keep the church, Picasso museum, and something else on my to do list for the other days... Always remembering to be back to Sauna Thermas by early afternoon.

The beaches in Barcelona are accessible for everyone. Hence, you can't do gay stuff.

The beaches in Sitges are harder for other people to get to. There's 3 of them in Sitges, and Playa del Muerto is the one that's very secluded—and where sex is likely to happen.  FWIW, I'd only go to Sitges if it's the weekend, unless there's a big event on a weekday that you're guaranteed to expect an influx of people. When I went there, it was just a one day trip (Saturday). Train ride from BCN to Sitges is about 40 minutes for 4 euros one way. You can also rent a car.

Here are a few resources on how to find the nude beaches in Sitges:
