dcguy20 Posted Thursday at 09:22 AM Posted Thursday at 09:22 AM (edited) A few months ago I realized I hadn't seen Sonny in Seattle's active ad in quite some time. Found it on a past chat we had through RM messenger. On his ad he stated he retired but someone kept renewing his ad. Not sure why he just didn't delete the whole thing. DznNYC Posted Thursday at 03:03 PM Posted Thursday at 03:03 PM I have literally always wondered this question. And for the first time in my life on RentMen, I've let my profile expire. I have unrelated seasonal work that makes it all but impossible to see clients - apart from the occasional existing regular - during November and December. I've struggled with how to manage this. Do I keep my face and name out there for when I'm back at it in January? Or is that just promoting a brand around the idea of Unavailable? Also, RentMen is an expensive racket for a provider. Between gold memberships and platinum boosts, it's a lot! So it feels like an unjustifiable expense at this point. The point being: for the first time ever, I'm a viable recipient for this gift! 🎉 That said, the question of this topic remains. Why would anyone ever do that for me? Literally no idea. A tip/bonus from a happy client? Makes perfect sense. A material gift from a happy client? Makes perfect sense. This one... I honestly can't imagine it's a thing. But definitely expect my ad on your front page in January, New York. Paid for by yours truly... mike carey, Greg250 and + KensingtonHomo 2 1
SecretProvider Posted Thursday at 03:23 PM Posted Thursday at 03:23 PM I have once had a client who wanted to book me in advance and was not happy with putting down a deposit via Venmo/cashapp/amazon gift card, and instead on his own volition offered to do a gift of membership. I don't quite know how that made him feel better, but it did. 💁♂️ Johnrom 1
Simon Suraci Posted Thursday at 03:52 PM Posted Thursday at 03:52 PM Can providers gift membership to clients?

Isn’t there an option on RMen to pause or freeze your ad so it stays out of search results and doesn’t rack up charges while it’s inactive?

I think you still can. They introduced that feature during covid. I thought they said they were ending it but I think I've still seen it up on ads. + JamesB 1
