Yeah it's amazing people view paying upfront for a legal service or product from a national corporation differently than paying an anonymous person upfront on the internet for an arguably illegal service.  But you just keep doing what you're doing as it sees to be working out great for you.

Well if that’s how you feel, maybe you don’t even need to be in this arena. Thats a condescending view towards the profession.

If thats true, I should be equally wary paying upfront for what I have to do to book a meet. Expecting an anonymous person with no pics or reviews, to show up to a hotel I spent or drove across town to see.

And yes I will keep doing what I’m doing because it is working out for me 👍🏾 Thankyou very much.

When I wasn’t doing deposits, there were still flakes and no shows, and people who asked for appointments but argued they never confirmed. Only difference now is, I’m not wasting my resources on gas and hotel rooms expecting people to come thru and leaving me hanging. Or giving out my apartment address without a deposit, and then wondering if someone is just trying to address collect from me.

And just to prove my point from elsewhere in the escort world (not a post from me):

So erase the hating on deposits and sex workers.

I don't hate on sex workers and hire regularly.  I just don't pay deposits like a vast majority of the people on this site. You refuse to recognize that and just to continue to blame everybody and everything else for your problems.  And if spending 3 days in a major metropolitan area with no clients is working out for your then I'm happy for you.

You’re hating on a sex worker right now. Just think about it. You’re being rude and condescending, dissing another man’s way of working: yet you’re not hating on sex workers. Hmm 🤔 And why are you concerned about how many bookings I get in a particular city? If you’re not willing to do deposits, that’s your prerogative. You shouldn’t be offended nor be defensive about it. Every person has a particular way of working that suits them. Just because you hire regularly, doesn’t mean you are the manual to how a person should run their ship.

It also has nothing to do with going 3 days without a client. It may be that way for someone, even if they didn’t ask deposits. Again, to prove my point AGAIN from other sources:

Again, not me posting. Another source. I’m only posting this stuff to educate you and the PRESUMPTION (which I’m only doing because I have extra time on hand) It’s easy to point blame and criticize someone when they say something you don’t agree with. But when I’m not the only one talking about the same thing, hopefully you can get out of the critical mindset.

Like stated earlier, I'd send a deposit to a well known escort (like Jarrod) who has a lot of RM reviews.

However,  last nite, I turned down a deposit request from an RM ad that had only a single review.

Now, I fully understood why they asked for it - it turned out they were further away from me than expected.

However,  if they're new and have only one review,  I'm not sending a deposit.  I simply acknowledged that they were too far away and wished them good luck. I'm not unhappy with them, but it was simply an unlucky situation for them.

Thanks for clarifying that, and extra 🧁 points for reading my ad/reviews and of course the compliments are appreciated!  🎉

And I should add: I’m not advocating deposits (e.g. let’s ALL charge one), I’m moreso letting people know: don’t necessarily hate on it either. I know some escorts don’t like to do them because it sometimes obligates them to show up to a city or booking they may need to change later. I respect that.

And I’ll say yes: it took me awhile to get to this point. The old-younger me, didn’t take deposits. My door was open, I would drive miles away with nothing but a phone call or text, and address. However, my location has changed, things have changed. Things that have happened to me over the years have changed how I do business. When I’ve been:

-stood up en route

-short changed,

-f**k a client and he “goes to his car to get the money” but never comes back,

-drive 500 miles only for the client to cancel upon arrival,

-book hotel rooms and client texts to cancel as I’m handing over the credit card to the front desk,

-book a hotel for $90 at the Sheraton on Priceline (non refundable) and two clients both no show:

It changes you. It changes your confidence and trust that some random 👨🏻 is going to pay me upon arrival, let alone show up. The excitement and thrill of doing that, doesn’t replace real life shit that has actually happened to me.

Then again, I actually was taking deposits even long time ago. Even before cash app, Venmo and PayPal became popular: I was occasionally accepting on western Union or MoneyGram if the client was a drive far away. They happily did it without fuss.

As self-important people frequently do, you're confusing hate with ridicule.

There's a BIG difference! 🤓

You’re confusing hate with “hate” lol. Hate IS ridicule. Ever heard the terms “Haterade” or “player hater”?

I was thinking about something. I have 3 options: I can stop deposits, but I’ll contact you when a client wants me to host (which means I need to book separate accommodations to host most of the time) or travel to an area an hour or more from where I reside. That way, I won’t have to ask for a deposit.

Or 2, if and when a person fails to show up, or cancels 20 minutes prior to me arriving to their location: I’ll contact you and ask for their reimbursement of my fee. That way I don’t have to ask them for cancel fee.

Or #3 non of the above: I can stop deposits but will no longer host (eliminating overheads). When I travel, I’ll just get any run of mill hotel that suits my budget, and will not pick hotels in convenient areas if it’s more than I care to afford. Even if it’s 30 miles outside of town.

Clients will have to pay/provide all accommodations to host. All Outcalls will require direct phone call to their hotel room OR picture of ID that is attached to their home address. Any of those sound doable?

I think you're still confused! 🤡

haterade = excessive negativity, criticism, or resentment; hatred

There's nothing in those definitions that refers to ridicule or any other kind of fun or humor. 😁

ridicule mock or make fun of; intended to cause contemptuous laughter at a person

I hope this expands your limited vocabulary. 😎

Ever since Alberich stole the gold from the Rhinemaidens, it’s possible for someone to get screwed during business transactions. With the business we discuss here, in each and every encounter, the expectations of buyer and seller have the potential to be met, or exceeded, or ruined.
Providers have been stiffed, and Clients have been ripped off.
We need to accept that the unique situation of the business is that courts will not intervene to resolve disputes, and we’re all on our own to play fair. I believe most of us already do.

100 percent.

And people just have to accept that some providers will ask a deposit. Doesn’t mean it’s always a scam. If someone is going pay a provider anyway: no need to put up a fight about sending one if the person proves to show legit.

Now, I’ve heard of situations like from a client of mine: a home builder company was asking him something like THOUSANDS of dollars for a deposit to build on the land plot. They weren’t going to spend their money, they needed him to front it. He was talking about this project for awhile, but ended up backing out. Even had the blueprint and everything. If I were that builder: I woulda been asking for deposit from day 1, if I knew it was something I needed.

I’m sure there’s ways for clients how to do their own “screening” on someone, but that’s not in my arena.
