When I hired him a while back, he also laid down the ground rules. The massage was, as others described, quite sensual for someone with ao many ground rules. Afterward, I struck up a conversation with him, complimented him on his skills and his handsome physique. I also asked if he ever had done sex work because he was quite the handsome fellow who could make some good money in a city like NY,  full of wealthy men. 

It was at that point where my "broken toy" comment comes in.

Your perspectives are totally valid and understandable.  I went to the appointment with a just-give-it-a-try mentality and not too much expectation (other than a bit of MT and a HE).  So I’d say he met or maybe even exceeded my expectation.  Also, because I kept your comments in mind, I didn’t try too hard to strike up a conversation with him.  I did, however, make a casual remark about his chest tattoo.  He immediately opened up about his life, how and why he got it, etc.  My impression is that he’s actually a very nice, warm, and talkative person.  He might have been burned too many times in the past for him to become cautious.  Again, it’s just too bad that he’s not open to “other” services; otherwise……
