Anyways,

Is it safer than the pills? Does it work better? Insurance cover it?

Great questions to ask your primary care physician and your insurance company. Not the kind of thing you can trust an internet forum on.  Your health is far too important.

I did talk to my Doctor and read a lot about it.  It did get better efficacy in trails, (probably due to adherence over daily pills)  Side effects were basically soreness at injection site

Every time I take the prep pill, I feel sorry for my kidneys. I’d prefer an injection 😊

Is the injection safer for your kidneys or is it just you will “feel sorry” less frequently?

People make a huge deal about this, but the actual decrease in function is miniscule.  Under 2.5% in the worst cases.

Let's be realistic:  You have a greater chance of injuring yourself from long-term usage of aspirin than PrEP.

I know right. At Kaiser they run a test on my kidneys every 3 months to monitor them and see if they are ok. They also make a huge deal about this.

Technically it isn't a vaccine I think but in my opinion it's OK to call it a "short-term vaccine".

Perhaps a huge step for the creation of the vaccine we've been looking for decades.
