Any recs on escorts or where to find one on the island?

You’ve never been to St. Barts have you?

Lots of flights from Paris.

There are zero direct flights from Paris to St. Barts. Some flights from Paris to Saint Martin next door.
Still, it wouldn’t be a good idea to fly someone in unless you know them very well. It’s a very small
and intimate island. Flying in the wrong escort here would be a deadly, not to mention costly, mistake.

I haven’t. This will be the first time. It would be nice to have a local show us around with some benefits afterward

'Deadly mistake', a little overreaction nycman perhaps?

Go ahead. It’s your cash, do as you please.
But being stuck on a small Caribbean island with someone I don’t
wan’t be there with sounds like a special level of Hell to me.
Kind of like the ultimate blind overnight hire mistake.

Deadly? Perhaps not. You’ll just wish you were.

I agree with what @nycman has posted.

I’m not a big fan of the Caribbean - I’ve enjoyed stays on the Cayman Islands and on Barbados - and I’ve only been to St Barts once. It’s a small, attractive and very expensive destination @DTCG82.

I was there with my (then) boyfriend and some American friends. We rented a villa and split the considerable cost. While we were there, we ran into some upper-class French people I know, and we think we may have seen another gay couple. There was no problem for us in being gay, just as there was no crime to speak of. Villas and hotels are costly; I doubt you will find any “deals”. Dinner with French wines and delicacies flown in from France can be ruinously expensive. Prices are generally in Euros; check as often hotels and restaurants add a service charge, tho many people still add a gratuity.

St Barts is a wonderful place but it is small and a little hard to get to. We took chartered boat over from St. Martin. The airport is tiny and has turboprop small planes only. The tought of flyiung in a stranger to spend even a night there would be terribly chancy. There a lot of guys I would love to spend an evening with that I would never take them for a week anywhere. Taking an escort to St Barts would only work for me if it was someone I knew very well and had trqveled with before. Great Place but proceed with caution and take tons of money. It's like NY or London on financial steroids.

Thanks for the input, all!

Definitely not flying in an escort.  haha.

We are indeed renting a villa.  It's four of us, two married couples and we're there to celebrate a friend's 50th.  So there'll be lots of rich food, booze for them (I no longer drink), and some lovely shopping.  We'll explore some of the beaches, but I foresee us spending a lot of time lounging at our own pool.

Any fun places to go out at night?  We're all pretty laidback and won't make it a nightly thing.  But it would be fun to get out on the town a couple nights.

And this may very well get my post flagged, but because I don't drink, anyone have any tips on where/how to get some "harder" stuff?  Not harder like what's normally discussed on this forum, I mean.

One of my cousins has a house on St. Barts. Small, provincial, and, charming for the first three days and two nights followed by chronic tedium if you are without good company that serves to amuse and entertain.

We're a great group, get along very well, personalities match, so I think we're going to have a blast

That's what we're doing.  We're flying into SXM and then taking a ferry over to SB vs the tiny plane.

I still don’t think you get the concept of St Bart’s……

Now, I know you don’t.

I’m being funny. No there is no "night life" per se on St Barts. It’s a tiny Caribbean island
with a mega wealthy clientele. There are no discos or clubs of which to speak. Occasionally,
one of the venues will have some sort of "after dinner" party. It’s usually a bust, but if extremely
laid back, high end (i.e. expensive) Caribbean, S&M (stand and model) is your vibe, it can be ok.

Ask the locals when you get there. They know everything that’s going on in and around the island.
It changes frequently. Mostly because nothing really catches fire and lasts very long. All the
tourists are chasing the "newest, hippest" spot, which leads to…..well….a lot of chasing.

Don’t get me wrong, I think St Barts is one of the most magical places on the planet. Unfortunately,
most people don’t have any idea what they’re getting into when they plan their first trip and they end
up hating it because they were expecting a Huge Jamaican Party Boat and what they got was a
Minuscule French Bateau.

And yeah, don’t take the ferry from SXM. People will laugh at you……grin
