I haven’t, but it sounds amazing!  I’ve tried this other “crack” though, and it’s the best Tri-Tip out there.

Cardiff Crack is amazingly good. When I was back there a few weeks ago I bought a 3-lb tri-tip, cut it into pices when I got home, and forze them.

A lot of "Crack" recipes I have seen have fried bacon in them, and consider that the crack.  Everything is better with bacon.
