I was sad to hear that Brandon Steele is suffering from Covid.  Apparently he is pretty sick.  He is not in the hospital but seems to be stricken with the "long" Covid.  He also has family members who are sick, two of whom are in fact in the hospital.

Brandon was a friend to this community for many years, and is one of the nicest and friendliest people around.  But tough times have taken over.

I noticed there is a Gofundme page if anyone would care to help out Brandon (https://gofund.me/0fa4008f).  I am always proud to be a part of this community when we come together to help someone in need.

It’s sad when anyone gets very sick but @Becket I have no idea who Brandon Steele is.

Google was not too informative. It did reveal that one Brandon Steele had been arrested along with Nick Gruber (famous for being Calvin Klein’s ex) for assaulting a man in his (Steele’s) apartment in Manhattan in 2019. The injuries inflicted were serious; the victim was bludgeoned with a frying pan.

Another Brandon Steele is mentioned as having COVID. He’s a Republican in Raleigh, West Virginia who had refused vaccination.

Not the same person.

The guy discussed in this thread spells his first name with an "a" as in Brandan, not Brandon

Also, he lives in Florida, not in West Virginia.

Case of mistaken identify.

If the actual person described in this thread is very ill alomg with his entire family at this juncture, the overwhelming odds are that they were unvaxxed. Given the level of vaccine availability in the last few months, being unvaxxed is a choice.

So sad to hear this. Brandan Steele was the first guy I ever hired. He was a great guy. So sweet and kind and super hot! I'm sure a lot of longtime members here remember Brandan. He had many raving reviews and deservedly so. Be well Brandan!

Not necessarily a choice to avoid the vaccine!

I have a client who had a severe reaction after her first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.  She had to be hospitalized and nearly died.

She is not an "anti-vaccer" and wants to have the second dose.  However, her physician warned her not to take the second dose or it could be tantamount to causing her own death.

Although it is extremely rare for a person to have this type reaction, it does occur.

Here is an excerpt from one of many articles you can find through "Google" about this subject:

"If You Are Allergic to an Ingredient in a COVID-19 Vaccine

If you have had a severe allergic reaction or an immediate allergic reaction—even if it was not severe—to any ingredient in an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, you should not get either of the currently available mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna).

If you have had a severe allergic reaction or an immediate allergic reaction to any ingredient in Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen (J&J/Janssen) COVID-19 vaccine, you should not get the J&J/Janssen vaccine.

If you aren’t able to get one type of COVID-19 vaccine because you are allergic to an ingredient in that vaccine, ask your doctor if you should get a different type of COVID-19 vaccine. Learn about the different types of COVID-19 vaccines."

Based on his archive review, he was raking in some serious dough from clients. Anyway, I wish him a speedy recovery. I honestly can’t give because expenses are tight. My job recently ended so, I will be looking for work September or retraining to upgrade my skills, rent first of August, moms birthday coming up, so gotta send her something, trip to Florida and I need to hang on to every penny I got until I resume work.

UPDATE:  Sorry for the confusion guys. I never did do well in spelling, can't spell to save my life.  I didn't realize it had been so long since he was active, 2006 being 15 years ago.  (Gee, I can do arithmetic!)  So many guys in this community never met him, obviously.  Also, it is awkward asking for help for one, when many inactive guys struggle after no longer escorting full time.  We could have GOFUNDME's for lots and lots of folks.

But Dave (his real name used with permission) is sick, and he can't work at his regular gig. It'll be a while until he can.  The same thing is happening to many good people. COVID is a bitch. And one of the worst things about COVID is that one feels so alone. (I hate to think how Daddy must have felt at the end.) So I went ahead and said I would speak up for Dave.

I understand he is getting better, though still stuck at home in quarantine. He is coughing less and no longer has a regular fever.  He is getting some energy back. So it will be at least two weeks before he can get back to work.

Check out the page at https://gofund.me/0fa4008f.  One of the things he asks for is a quick hello, a kind word, a reminder that he is not going through all this alone.  If you'd care to throw in a few bucks, that'd be nice too.  Thanks guys.
