I just left a Outcall in the meatpacking district. Trains stop at 11:30pm so I had to Uber home for $57 one way....I made less money for 90 min Outcall then what I charge for a 60 min Incall. I charge more for outcalls but Uber prices are outrageous and the trains are on a Covid schedule. Most trains close by 11pm or earlier if they are doing maintenance.

Sweetheart, I don't want it to look like I'm undervaluing your work but shouldn't that be a cost to be considered when calculating your outcall rate in general, or your rate for late nights?

So you would suggest a different rate for late nights? If @Daniel84 did that, folks here would complain about his “menu pricing”. ? There is no scenario where everybody will be satisfied.

Perhaps the best we can do, is to be openminded enough to consider the request for Uber as/when it comes up for each individual. ??‍♂️

This is what I meant. Either late-night higher rate or include Uber back home cost in the rate when talking to the client. It's simple communication, not rocket science.

The way I understand the situation, is that because of Covid related transit schedules, under normal circumstances it would have been a few dollars normally to return via subway, or a ride under a monthly pass. Does it make sense to change pricing protocols because of pandemic-only era situations and costs? Perhaps. But when inquires already sometimes balk at at prices or try to haggle because of the pandemic, it's like @FrankR said there is no scenario to make both sides and everyone happy. Adding a surcharge to cover late night transport might turn that client away, either for the sticker cost, or for the mental frame of having to pay for the providers transportation as well as his service.

Not to mention, many inquires may not be aware or realize there is limited public transportation ability so might view asking for uber fee as others have described.

I thought they changed the MTA subway system maintenance to 2a-4a? I'm guessing that uber price is one-way from meatpacking district in Manhattan to another borough. Either way am sorry to hear that it cost $57 one-way. A few weeks ago when I went to JFK to fly to Palm Springs, I recall Uber prices from midtown to JFK were around $150 one-way!

Just think the round trip Uber fare from midtown New York to JFK is now around $300. The the round trip airfare from JFK to Palm Springs is currently around $600. Compared to the Uber fare the airfare to Palm Springs seems like a steal. Another good reason NOT to live in midtown New York!!!!!

Yeah I don't even think we can really have this conversation without acknowledging the fact that Ubers and Lyfts are WAY more expensive right now and public transportation is WAY less convenient/available and also less SAFE than 1.5 years ago. Both of these factors are MAJOR causes of the uptick in escorts asking for Uber fare (even on top of an Outcall fee).

Please don't make it more complicated than it really is. I've paid higher rates and cab fares for late-night appointments, even with transit still running, just because it was going to be more comfortable for the provider to get back home in that way, for accomodating coming see me late night.

Service providers are free to charge a higher rate to cover business-related costs or assume them. They also have the freedom to decline a request for an appointment if the resulting outcome is not going to be as profitable for business.

Nobody is putting a gun to their heads forcing them to take every single request they receive, nor apply the same rate to everyone no matter the circumstances. It's a free market.

Isn't the cab fare a flat $45 plus toll? Maybe that was a few years ago.

I Don’t understand the back and forth. He is an independent contractor and should factor the transport into his out rate. That’s how it is in any other contractor work situation. Why are some of you allowing your libido to cloud your judgement? If you want to over tip bc you feel for the guy then that’s your choice.

Sorry if this was asked previously. How do you send an Uber to pick up a provider? Doesn’t Uber require the person with the account be a passenger?

When you go into the Uber app to schedule a ride your name/picture appears at the top of the screen and it says "For <<<your name>>>" with a drop down arrow. Click the drop down and click on "choose who's riding." It then walks you through entering that person's name and phone number. The text notifications then go to you and the person for whom you're scheduling. You, as the person who scheduled it, can track the progress of the trip.

You simply enter the address where the escort is. You can send a message "pick XXX" or simply tell the escort your first name. You can send a screenshot of the car, name of driver and license plate.

Completely forgot that Uber prices are ridiculously high in NYC and Los Angeles. The prices for certain trips makes no sense. Also forgot the MTA started shutting down the subways around 11 during the pandemic. I would've thought with the city more open now, everyone getting vaccines and somewhat getting back to a new normal that the main lines would be back to 24/7.

I guess. The uptick in Uber requests I've noticed has been a thing for over 2 years now. But I agree.

They don't. As long as you have a legit payment method on your account thats all that matters.

When it comes to sending an Uber for a provider (just using Austin Wolf as an example) I just change my profile picture to a face photo of AW's. I change my name to Austin or Austin W. I enter his pickup address and when a driver is confirmed I'll text AW a screenshot of all the details (driver, license, car, ETA). When the driver is close I'll text AW that he's pulling up and go from there.

If the provider's pickup address is in a busy area, I simply ask if they could go to a more quieter corner or side street in the area to make things a little smoother. I've had no issues.

I don't think there's really a need to change your name and pic to an escort's. I would definitely be weirded out if I got into an uber that a client booked for me and saw my working name and my face on a driver's screen. I don't even use a photo on my own uber/lyft account for privacy reasons. Just remove the photo of your own face and give the escort your first name to give to the driver, imo. But you gotta do whatever makes you comfortable at the end of the day.

Actually, it isn’t necessary for you, as the person ordering the ride, to notify the passenger for whom you’re ordering it. When you click the drop down arrow you just enter the person’s name (first name is fine) and their phone number. They’ll get the same texts as you (with the driver’s name, photo, make of car, plate number, pick up details). It’s really quite efficient. Now, if the person who’s getting the ride is named 9InchUncut and he’s requesting an Uber, he better have a “name” he uses at the ready.
