Wait, Should We Always Wait for the Masseur to Ask for the Payment?

I was just reading another thread, and a member here mentioned that his relationship with a masseur turned more intimate a few times, and the masseur never asked for the payment during those times since he didn't really give a massage before escalating things.

My thought reading the post was that I would have paid the masseur anyway because I never wait till they ask. To me, it's such an awkward conversation to get into, and it can instantly kill the vibes you just built with your masseur, so I always take initiative to pay them, and I don't think I ever remember anyone of them count the cash; they just take my word for it.

Therefore, should we wait?

I had read it as the guy just got up and left before he could get paid, not that the norm was him to literally ask for the money each time. But I agree the phrasing was unclear. If the fee was known beforehand in general you should hand it to them or leave it somewhere clear for them to pick up.

I can’t imagine not paying. There have been a few rare instances where masseurs have refused a generous tip for leap frogging beyond the intended activity. But none have ever suggested forgoing payment all together, and I’d never even think that.

Agree. I can’t imagine not paying and would not wait for the masseur to ask. Seems kind of classless to me and doesn’t foster a good relationship IMO. Similarly I think it is classless for a masseur to upsell or try to negotiate for additional payment once the session has started.

I have had one instance where a masseur (one of my regulars) refused payment. He had hurt his arm earlier that day working out and felt he could not deliver a quality massage. That didn’t prevent him from doing the “extras” however so that’s what we did. ? He wouldn’t accept payment for that.

"Should we always wait for the masseur to ask for payment?"

When I read the title of the thread, I had to go see what was here because I found the question to be somewhat bizarre if I understood it correctly.

From all of the massage and escort experiences that I've had over these far too many years, I've NEVER had a masseur (with the exception of one) or an escort to ask for his fee. When the play/massage has concluded, and I've showered/dressed, I have always extended the fee in a cordial manner to the provider which is the way one does when dining out or making a purchase: pay without the provider asking.

To me, that's rude, to say the least.

The time that the masseur requested his fee was when both of us had partaken in some great 420. He'd provided the top tier of his service and afterward was calling Uber for me. The guy was hot yet somewhat bizarre; thus he failed to wait for the fee that I had in my hand

I draw a line at leap frogging. Just won't go there.
