Well, I contacted him and he quoted me 450/hr to start. I told him thanks, but that's more than I'm used to spending. He asked me what my budget was. I told him that guys in LA are usually 300/hr plus tip. I was OK being flexible but a 50% markup was more than I was looking to spend. His response was, because he's a doctor and double Ivy League grad, he's more upscale than the other guys. I told him that the escorts here aren't hillbillies with straw in their teeth and many are college graduates themselves. Maybe not doctors, but they're educated at fine universities. Moving on....

Hahaha. I almost get the sense that he's seeing what the market will bear and then trying to convert a percentage of those who don't bite on meetings but are still interested into video chat cam type clients.

There are so many discussions about his rates and spoken language. Have anybody already met him? ?

He did get a posted positive review on RM today. He does specifically say though it was a video Cam session in his comments.

I was going to message him to find out some more information, but I have no desire to do any sort of differential equations or non-Euclidean geometry to determine whether or not I can afford to hire him or not…

He's hot but does Columbia really have a PhD program in physical therapy? That seems fishy to me...

Yes they do, actually. I'm a columbia grad, my PT is a columbia grad, and my nephew is applying to PT schools right now lol

Communicated with him via text. He wants $70 to talk 10 minutes on the phone to discuss arrangements.

So his rate is $420/hr to talk over the phone?

Based on the conversation here, I actually wonder if he can get any client at all...

Posted

As per his very professional Tumblr site detailing his rates, you can talk to him for 30 minutes for $200. So if you want 60 minutes, that would be only $400 instead of the $420 that you projected. At least he’s consistent in giving a “discount” for bulk purchases ?

What I really don't understand is why anybody would think that there is any relationship between going to a prestigious university and having a PhD and being an outstanding escort. To the best of my knowledge one does not learn how to be an expert at oral and/or anal sex from college/university textbooks.

Now granted the guy is good looking and has a hot body but then so are dozens of other guys who haven't attended a prestigious university and don't have a PhDs. I pay for sexual performance not an escorts education resume.

Kind of all very strange. I've had pretty typical text conversations with the person (someone?). After discussing that we weren't currently in the same city and providing the initial and standard rate card information he did offer a video cam session but didn't attach any economic value to that. He also prepared to meet in the future when we in the same city. And FWIW the profile has a 2nd review on RM whereby the reviewer claims to have met. But alas only time will really tell.

That's all true. But there's also a supply/demand thing going on. He's banking on the likelihood that there aren't a lot of escorts with his looks, build, other physical attributes, etc, who are ivy league educated with a PhD. My guess is he won't get many bites from a site like RM with his rates and pricing scheme.

His Ivy League status has no bearing on ly hiring him. I’m sure for some it might. But not me...

Okay, so you're a rocket scientist

That don't impress me much

So you got the brain but have you got the touch…

From the lack of reviews or folks here who have experience with him (in tandem with his super professional Tumblr rates page) leaves us wondering about the touch – which at the end of the day is what is what I’m paying for, not the Ivy League PhD…Someone has an inflated sense of his value. Ivy League will do that to some folks.

Well if you were in the market for more of a "courtesan" /gigolo extended hire scenario, then his educational bonafides might be very pertinent. Although a doctorate in physical therapy isn't really the type of degree that you 1st think of if you were looking for someone who knew art, opera, the proper wine pairings, and etc. On the other hand if you were more the world adventurer/ Bear Grylls type, his physical therapy skills would come in quite handy.

There was an athletic guy with sandy red hair who escorted out of California years ago and touted his Ivy League bonafides. I have a vague memory his fees were also quite pricey.

"That Don't Impress Me Much"

I've known a few guys who thought they were pretty smart

But you've got being right down to an art

You think you're a genius, you drive me up the wall

You're a regular original, a know-it-all

Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special

Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else

OK, so you're a rocket scientist

That don't impress me much

So you got the brain but have you got the touch?

Now don't get me wrong, yeah, I think you're alright

But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night

That don't impress me much

I never knew a guy who carried a mirror in his pocket

And a comb up his sleeve just in case

And all that extra-hold gel in your hair oughtta lock it

'Cause Heaven forbid it should fall outta place

Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special

Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else

OK, so you're Brad Pitt

That don't impress me much

So you got the looks but have you got the touch?

Now don't get me wrong, yeah, I think you're alright

But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night

That don't impress me much

You're one of those guys who likes to shine his machine

You make me take off my shoes before you let me get in

I can't believe you kiss your car good night

Now, c'mon, baby, tell me? You must be jokin', right?

Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special

Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else

OK, so you've got a car

That don't impress me much

So you got the moves but have you got the touch?

Now don't get me wrong, yeah, I think you're alright

But that won't keep me warm in the middle of the night

That don't impress me much

You think you're cool but have you got the touch?

Now don't get me wrong, yeah, I think you're alright

But that won't keep me warm on the long, cold, lonely night

That don't impress me much

OK. So, what do you think? You're Elvis or something?

That don't impress me much!

That don't impress me much!

Sorry, but a DPT isn’t an PhD. It’s a lot of work, but it’s a professional degree. Honestly, it has more in common w an NP or PA degree. Just saying (says the pedantic professor).....

Either way, if that was a determinant, or the determinant, for my hiring him, I wouldn’t be concerned about the other factors. Ivy League or no, I’m not looking to discuss Plato or the Endocrine system when I’m hiring an escort.

I must admit I was turned off by the extremely impersonal first response back from him too. At least make it look like it’s not *just* a business.

He thinks that going to IVY league makes him entitled for any astronomical price!

I too went too went to Columbia undergrad. There are several undergrad schools at Columbia. Columbia College and the School of Engineering are the elite schools that are hard to get into. Barnard is the woman’s school. It is pretty easy to get into and I know many Barnard women who mislead by saying they went to Columbia undergrad. And finally there is the adult Ed School of General Studies, which is basically open admissions as long as you are willing to pay a ton of money for tuition, So many people go to this latter school and pass themselves off as all that.....

and why not? They paid for it....and no one is the wiser that their Ivy League degree is not that different than if they had gone to the university of Phoenix.

that being said, I have no idea where the gentleman who is the topic of this thread went to school....
