I will try to remember to collect here resources for those looking for ways to support communities of color. Although I wrote "Black" in the headline, because I think that right now all those fighting White Privilege and Supremacy feel Black, the idea would be to support business owned by People of Color. Please, join with any resources you can add.

Black-owned restaurants are seeing a surge of interest and support. Advocates say it’s a start.

I'd like to make one small correction to this list. One of the businesses is listed on that site as Oregon winemaker Maison Noir. The correct name is Mouton Noir and their wines are very good. I know the first window that opens says Maison Noir Wines before the video starts. I don't know why both names show up in searches.

I don't have a lot of money, I grew up below the poverty line (I come on here to enjoy other people's stories of hiring), and I have spent my life working so hard at 60-100 hour work weeks (except for a period of 9 years when I had a sensible job) and have very little to show for it, so I don't feel like I have benefitted financially from the suppression of African-American people. Yet, the little I can do is that I tip my African-American servers more than other servers. It's not much, but it's a sacrifice for me. It's my way of saying, "I'm sorry. I see you. I respect you." I encourage others to do the same.

We can all do something to make this world a better place.

(I never tell anyone this. I post it here anonymously as an encouragement to others.)

Why don't we support small business regardless of the race of the owner? Cause rn too many small businesses are struggling with the tyrannical policies due to the Chinese flu and now the awful riots.

Hugs,

Greg

No one is saying that we shouldn’t support all small businesses.

The fact remains, that even out of the small businesses, it’s the black small business that get the red tape from banks, bureaucratic BS with SBA set-aside designations and benefits, and even the relief efforts, proclaimed to be available by the govt.

most small black owned businesses are not just small, but they are also disadvantaged (by regulatory definition) too, which require more patronage and support to survive.

Maybe if they took better care of their neighborhoods the investors would be more willing to come around. Would you want to invest in an area where they steal, loot and have no value for life? I wouldn't. Maybe they should learn from the others, less blaming and more elbow grease.

Hugs,

Greg

"They"? That "THEY" could be used also towards Hispanics, right?

I know a lot of wealthy blacks and I'm sure that you in your career have been hired plenty of times by black professionals.

Back to subject conservatives should take good care of their states and their counties to attract better investors. Unfortunately most of them don't practice values like responsibility, family, living within your means, etc.

Your stupidity still amazes me after all these years.

That comment is so ignorant, uninformed, and stupid, I can’t even fathom wasting the effort of articulating a comprehensive response.

I hold disgust and pity for you simultaneously.

You and your mindset is exactly what this country needs to rid itself of.

Don’t waste your time, Greg is so ignorant, he can’t even fathom the idea of that fact that wealthy blacks even exists. He obviously “educates”, himself by watching The Sean Hannity Show and old re-runs of “COPS”.... ?????
