"Saturday Night", a behind-the-scenes dramatization of the first episode of Saturday Night, just showed up on Netflix.  I enjoyed it - no idea if it was really that chaotic the first night.

Dan Levy‘s previously untitled Netflix crime comedy is beginning to take shape: In addition to announcing its new title — Big Mistakes — the streamer also revealed Wednesday eight additional cast members who will be joining co-creator Levy on screen. 

The eight-episode series follows “two deeply incapable siblings” who are blackmailed into the world of organized crime. As previously announced, Levy (who’s also billed as showrunner and executive producer) will play a character named Nicky, alongside Laurie Metcalf (Roseanne) as Linda. Both are series regulars, in addition to Taylor Ortega (The Four Seasons), who will play Morgan.

New series regulars include Jack Innanen(Adults) as Max, Boran Kuzum (Thank You, Next) as Yusuf and Abby Quinn (Knock at the Cabin) as Natalie. 

Elizabeth Perkins (Weeds) is set to recur as a character named Annette, in addition to other part-timers including Jacob Gutierrez (Dear Edward) as Tareq, Joe Barbara (FBI) as Mike, Josh Fadem (Better Call Saul) as Ashley, and Mark Ivanir (Emilia Pérez) as Ivan.

Co-creator Rachel Sennott (Bottoms) and Anne-Marie McGintee are also on board as executive producers.

Anyone besides me enjoying “Wednesday” on Netflix? Fun update on the Addam’s Family…which this 60’s kid never missed on TV. “Thing” is a major character and a hoot, not to mention plenty of male eye candy. Gay actor Hunter Doohan at the top of my list for that!

I have been watching Death, Inc., a Spanish comedy series about a funeral house.  Think Six Feet Under with an Almodóvar twist. Very light humor, funny characters, just a nice way to kill some leisure time with your brain in N gear.

I started watching 'Wednesday' when it first came out a few years ago, then grew bored with it. It became 'a chore'. I think I still have the last couple of episodes to watch.

Absolutely. Great performances all around. I was only disappointed at the story arc with Hunter Doohan. He's such a cutie, I was hoping there would be more of a good boy/bad boy(monster) narrative. Leaving room for a continuing romantic connection with Wednesday. Now he just feels like that cousin who got addicted to crack and you've given up on getting him cleaned up. 😫

I don’t know if it’s available on US Netflix; but if you spot La odisea de los giles (Heroic Losers is the US title), it’s a ton of fun.  A small-town community that gets bilked of all their savings in Argentina’s 2001 economic crisis schemes to get their money back.  The subtitle is “they messed with the wrong losers.”  If you’re ever in the mood to root for the underdog, you gotta watch this comedy-drama-thriller.

PS:  I googled it, apparently it’s available on Amazon Prime Video.  When I checked the Amazon app using a VPN for the US, it says “Prime Video.”  Oops, doesn’t belong in the Netflix thread!  But go watch it anyway.

I binged the three 40 minute episodes of “Fit for TV: The Reality of The Biggest Loser”. I've been reading about all the drama over this doc, as trainer Bob Harper (now 60 and looking horrible) participated, yet trainer Jillian Michaels (51 and looking great) did not. They make JM out as 'the villain' throughout the series' run. 

Overall, it's really rather repetitive and gets boring fast. Much ado about nothing.

Just finished…I thought it was very smart, suspenseful, fun twists and turns. Netflix promises a Season 2.

I am currently watching the limited series Hostage, a British political thriller featuring a female UK Prime Minister and a female French President. Good plot, many twists, good acting. All in all, I got hooked by it and I don’t want it to end. Will there be a second season? Stay tuned.

I would have never called him handsome - he was the definition of 'cute'. But he has aged rapidly since the show went off the air about a decade ago, looking far beyond his 60 years. It's not just the tattoos. I would venture to guess other components at play.

Did they ever reveal what caused the heart attack? In many cases (especially with younger fit men), the cause of the heart attack is what ages you - not the heart attack itself.
