Luv2play Posted May 3, 2021 Share Posted May 3, 2021 Christianpowerx has been called "provincial" by one poster and I could see that if, as a French Canadian, he is not from a city like Montreal or Quebec. Those places are cosmopolitan and if you grow up there you tend to be more worldly in your attitudes and outlook. However if you come from a place in the Quebec hinterland like Lac St. Jean or Shawinigan, then you are more likely to be provincial in outlook. I mentioned Shawinigan because that's where Prime Minister Jean Chretien (ironically Christian in English) was raised and he never overcame his provincial roots. He's done pretty well though (he was one of the most successful prime ministers getting elected three times in a row with majority governments which is pretty rare), and his daughter is married to a billionaire so the family is no longer provincial. I would think this particular Quebecer is getting exposed to more influences as he travels about America.
