Which city has the best escorts?

I am considering doing an extended weekend trip somewhere in the US in January, basing part of the decision on which city has the best escorts. I would define this pretty broadly but perhaps it relates a bit to cost (not super interested in the $300+ an hour escorts unless they perhaps offer a discount for a longer session), the variety of escorts available and the willingness of escorts to do a BFE (not super interested in quick sessions and would love to be able to take an escort out for a nice date on the town). The main cities I am looking at are New York, Los Angeles, San Diego and Miami but am open to other suggestions. I have already been to Las Vegas and San Francisco in the last year so am not super interested in visiting those cities again but could definitely go somewhere else if you think there is a good escort scene there. I am also going to Dallas in October and Chicago in March so probably don't need to repeat those.

They like 300/hour in Miami too. If you go to a town with a lot of providers, you will find more great ones but also more dross. I bet there are smaller cities with a few really good guys, but I don't know which.

Many of the $300 guys in NYC will happily oblige if you negotiate them down a bit. It doesn't even take much effort. Just say that '300 is above my spending cap'.

That's good to know. And I am definitely willing to pay more for a longer session. I'd be happy to do $650 for 3 hours plus pay for dinner or whatever. So maybe if they are willing to negotiate, I can suggest something like that

I’d say thumbs down on San Diego being a hot spot on its own. Although you could position yourself in Orange County and draw from San Diego, the OC, and WeHo/LA.

 

Not sure your sub $300/hour will be easy to find, but that's doable.

Most escorts are willing to negotiate for 2-3 hours. I think I’ve been paying on average $500 for two hours. Most will take me up on having dinner together at no extra charge if it’s a steakhouse or another fancy place on me.

It’s more than 5 years since I hired but I always enjoyed a BFE. I used to hire for an hour on an initial date to check compatibility as some guys lack social/conversational skills. Then I’d have an extended dinner-date with a good guy in an excellent restaurant. I usually paid $500 (plus the dinner costs), and no haggling was involved, in LA NYC and SF.

I am considering a trip up to Canada this summer. My cousin lives in Toronto and have a friend who lives on PEI so considering doing an extended road-trip type thing. But that sounds best to do in June or July, not January...no offense.

True, and my experience is that LA providers aren’t too interested in driving to South OC. In fact, some don’t even have cars. Re San Diego, a scan of Rentmen shows promise.

Of the cities mentioned so far, I have hiring experience in San Francisco, Chicago, NYC, Miami/Ft Lauderdale and Montreal. For me, NYC is by far the best for hiring. I have better luck finding escorts that appeal to me there. Maybe it's because of the sheer number of escorts in the city, or maybe it's their diversity or maybe it's just the type of guy that chooses live/work there. Montreal is fun for the strip clubs, but escort selections are very limited. Although great places for other reasons, San Francisco, Chicago and Miami/Ft Lauderdale are also limited compared to NYC. I've also hired in Toronto, but that was over 10 years ago, so my experiences there may not reflect the current situation.

Looking a bit more into San Diego it appears that several of the RM escorts are actually LA based and say they will travel to San Diego...but maybe that isn't as true as they say it is?

I would say as another thing I would like is for escorts that are interesting people with something to talk about. I would like to take them out to dinner so it would be great if they have interesting things to talk about. I once did this with an escort and all he could talk about was escorting itself which got old after about 20 minutes. But then I've had great conversations with escorts who used to be professional dancers, or activists, or just have nerdy interested like comics or movies.

 

I think San Diego/LA might have better weather at that time of year, but wondering if New York might have more interesting escorts. What do you think?

I know that Mocha has opined that Atlanta is a bad city for escorts, but it's been my personal experience that Atlanta is a goldmine for affordable and super-hot escorts. I was there a couple of weeks ago and had good luck esp on Grindr (be sure to get verification though). In the past, I've also had some positive experience with "Masseurs" on A4A. I find that ATL has an especially good number of muscular African-American escorts. And there's always Swinging Richards for evening entertainment, though I have been so disappointed there in my past few visits that I avoided a visit there this time.

Correct, you need to see if they have the “house” icon showing they live in San Diego vs. suitcase icon “near travel to” San Diego. The travel guys on RM San Diego outnumber the San Diego home based by a considerable margin.

First, this was maybe 6 years ago - I don’t know if the guy is still working. Second, my experience here is that commendations are welcome; warnings not so much. Whenever the guy was asked about here afterwards, I would post a note of caution about him overpromising/underdelivering.

 

Describing a bad experience with a well-reviewed guy invites an avalanche of criticism from his fans and supporters. As mentioned earlier, I discussed my poor experience with a highly regarded reviewer (who’s played with many of the same guys that I’ve dated) as I wondered if it was ‘just me’; he confirmed that the guy had similarly ‘avoided’ sex with him.

 

IMO when reading good reviews, it is important to remember chemistry matters and YMMV. Clients differ in their demands and wishes, and escorts vary as to whether they’re great company for an hour but not an extended hiring.

I sympathize with @MscleLovr's hesitation on ID'ing the scammer. My experience on this forum also has been that, generally, warnings have been welcomed much less favorably than commendations. My own recent experience isn't about an actual warning, but is somewhat illustrative of the point. A few months ago, I responded to a 411 inquiry by relaying that an escort and I had to cut our session short due to what seemed like poor chemistry, but I thought he was a nice guy and I appreciated his professionalism in offering to not take his fee (I still paid him half, though). A poster here took that as negative, and suggested I had unrealistic expectations for our session, even though I hadn't even said anything about what I'd hired the escort for, or whether there was any particular type of scene that we attempted to get into. So, yeah, folks get defensive of escorts here and will often overreact to commentary that isn't necessarily glowing, much less when it's an actual critique.

 

To the other point mentioned earlier in this thread about somewhat nerdy escorts who're into comic books and with whom one might be able to engage in interesting conversations over dinner or an extended BFE, I'd recommend http://rent.men/ShermanMaus. I believe he's also a forum member, or at least he used to be, although I don't recall his exact handle. I've met with him a few times, both in his homebase of L.A. and when he's visited NYC. He's a really sweet guy, who's also into comics and graphic novels. If you have similar tastes, then he could be ideal for conversation of that sort.
