Well, let me emphasize that he didn't do that with me. I talked with him on the phone the night before, and I doublechecked the fee he had told me earlier, asking if that was a "base fee" or if that was it for the full hour, and he confirmed the latter. He did not ever ask for more than what he had originally quoted.

Now - here's an interesting twist. He texted me shortly after the appointment to thank me but to also let me know that the envelope I gave him was $20 short. But he wasn't mean about it, in fact offering that I could pay him next time and saying he assumed it was an honest mistake. (It was.) I apologized and gladly Venmo'd him the 20. But he really handled the whole thing with humor and grace, which some escorts definitely would not have. 

So I'm sorry that @Youngin4Massage somehow had a different and bad experience. But I can vouch that JamesHeart was wonderful with me.

For more certainty, can you screenshot the RM block image and put it here? This adds confidence to your allegations without divulging anything too sensitive. Not that I don't believe you, it just helps as evidence suggesting that he is a deceptive person.

I wouldn’t say you’re naive for making a deposit for a 5-star rated , seemingly highly experienced escort. I’m shocked this happened too!

 

I regularly make deposits (and even fly guys out to NYC) as long as they have stellar reviews, and I’ve spoken to someone who has booked them for something expensive. Have never had any issues for the past 3 years with this method.

James definitely needs to know that there are reputational consequences.

I would say that there are some situations in which deposits would be a good part of the deal. This includes this situation, where JimmyS seemed to be booking time in advance with someone who was flying in to see them.

Maybe JimmyS didn’t sponsor that flight- and that might makes the deposit less necessary.

But for us clients who enjoy bringing highly reputed escorts in from other states, deposits can be important.

 

Maybe when hiring a local provider for an hour or 2,, one should indeed not do a deposit.

But even locally, distance to get to me can often be a concern, and honest providers don’t want their time and gas money wasted. I at least Uber them to me, as an investment that signals my interest in meeting them (and also allows me to track their journey to me).

I also am pro deposit when hiring for overnights, even locally. - as these bookings often happen in advance, and providers often clear their schedules for these. It’s never great to flake last minute on someone who declined other lucrative opportunities for you- it’s money lost to them as well. And they may have even altered their diet for such an overnight appointment.

To be sure, there are bad actors out there, and for most situations where I hire, I don’t do deposits. But there are cases where I believe they are helpful.
