Thanks for that... I didn’t see the discussion before...complete surprise by my recent experience with deposit request!?! And I double down on ... I will never pay upfront again...walk away!

I am in the "only rarely and for a trusted and well reviewed professional" camp. Kinda like a trusted traveler program for escorts... Thanks, TSA!

to make sure there are no misunderstandings or disappointments on either side, I always mention in pre-meet communication with new-to-me providers that I will pay at the end of the meeting and that I don't want to mention money at the meeting.......and then I ask for an "ok" from the provider about those conditions.......the ol' leaving-an-envelope-in-plain-view-on-the-dresser idea can be an acceptable compromise and can show honesty on the part of the client if the provider is squeamish!.....

admittedly, a less-than-honest provider may try to upsell during the meet, but that concern, as well as that of coming to an agreement on the meeting activities before it starts (so that upselling and planned activities aren't even a concern), are things that are beyond the scope of this thread's topic.....;)

To the extent that I've invited the escort to travel, I have paid for the transportation in advance. While I'm sure that an unscrupulous escort could cancel plane ticket and pocket the funds and stand me up, but that has never happened.

Yeah, I pay transportation like flights up front. I have paid for Uber but I use my phone to order it. No deposits though.

At home, the money is on the dresser, you can pocket it when you leave. I also offer cash app, venmo, or PayPal at their convenience. I wrote a check once for an extended stay to a regular.

Never send a deposit and never pay at the start of a session. For the latter I'll bend the rule with half of the provider's fee out in the open on a counter.

Pretty much.

Only thing thats paid for ahead of time is the provider's Uber if they don't drive or lazy to commute. I'll do that through my phone, and I take the extra step by changing my Uber profile to the provider's name + photo so there's no confusion for the Uber driver at pick up.

I've never been asked to make a deposit, and I'd move on IMO. With that said, I got to an appointment once where the masseur actually asked me to leave the payment on the dresser before the service was even provided. Wtf is this? Dine and dash? I did do as he asked but left out whatever tip I would've given him and haven't booked with him since. It was just an ok experience.
