I have twice (deposit) once got burned the other was for an exceptional provider. So, it's a pretty strong no for me, with very exceptional exceptions

Once a deposit back in February for Parker Payne, and never again. Not only did he cancel his trip, but he still hasn't made it to DC. On top of that, he hit me up for more shortly thereafter!! Nope.

From Noah Driver to as recently as JamesATL, there are some swindlers out there...

its a recipe for disaster. i never have and only within the last two weeks did i ever have an escort ask me. it was with an escort that i have seen quite a few times. he text me out of the blue requesting a session claiming he would "do much more" within the session and that he was at a bar and needed a $50 advance before the session since he was "stupid". huh? he said to send it over a cash app. i said nope, no can do. he then requested again and i said for him to not contact me anymore. he then replied "um...ok".

wtf!

Milo...This has been much-discussed here in the forum for years. You should already know it's a no-go. There may be a few tiptop providers who are reliable and will come through, but, wait, even a few of those have no-showed, too, after receiving a deposit!!

I can understand frustrated providers trying the deposit remedy after six client cancellations in a row, but it's part of the business and savvy clients should resist advance deposits

There are some good guys who need a way to reassure themselves because for outcalls sometimes clients give fake addresses and they have to drive tens of miles to a no show. And then there are swindlers like JamesATL .

I think someone needs to start an escrow service so that both parties feel reassured.

If it is someone top notch, like Victor Powers, I will pay in advance to get a spot on his calendar.

Don't do it. You shouldn't even consider a deposit for an hourly hire period. It even makes less sense when you have already established a good relationship and history with the escort.

Even more importantly, It does not matter how highly rated or reviewed the escort is. A lost deposit to a really popular escort just means you have ZERO chance of anyone else believing you when you complain about getting burned.

As @marylander1940 said above, as an exception, when extended hires with travel is involved, you need to do something to guarantee the escort doesn't get burned (i.e. prepaid airfare or a deposit that covers the escorts travel costs) -- especially if no prior relationship exists.

I've done it a couple of times for my regular after I'd seen him ten times or so. I wasn't worried about him ghosting me given our history. And I wasn't disappointed.

Otherwise, no - I wouldn't even consider it without a significant history with and confidence in the guy.

I did do a small deposit for a well-reviewed escort in London on a recent trip. I wanted to do an overnight and completely understood from his perspective that committing that much time to some random American messaging you is also a bit of an off proposition. His rate overall was quite good and I really had no problem paying a small deposit. And in the end it worked out quite well..got to have a great night in his nice apartment with a balcony overlooking the Thames, a sauna and pool in the building and company.

Sure it was a risk, but if it for some reason didn't work, I would've only been out I think something like $75. But mostly I will not likely make deposits unless it's a situation like that where I'm asking for a lot of time for a particularly well-reviewed escort that I feel would follow-through on his end.

I have paid in full on arrival a few times. But never before I saw the escort in person.

When I paid on arrival, i always received the minimum service agreed, no passion or anything, a very passive guy who lay there waiting for it to happen and I left early because there was no connection.

In the spa business we had the infamous term "gift certificate." Some totaled a $1000. Most were $300-$500. They were extremely popular at holiday time. Could easily gross $50,000+. Owners loved them. Instant money in the bank. A certain percentage would always go unredeemed. They had an expiration date. Free money.

Basically, the gift certificate was a pre-pay for services yet to be rendered. Some were written out to include specific workers, but if they were not redeemed, the workers did not receive that money.

If the business failed to perform the service paid for in advance, that would be seriously detrimental to the business. If the customer using the gift certificate was not happy with the service, they got a full refund.

Since there's no BBB to report a shady escort, a pre-pay transaction must always be about trust. What other service person in your life would you pre-pay for?
