I'd still inquire. Sometimes escorts will make an exception to certain rules they have. The worst that can happen is he says no or blocks you from his phone.

The guy I see the most, the vast majority of men he sees are about 20 years or older than him. I'm only about 9 years older. He actually considered dropping me as a client after our first meeting. If he was in my area I would inquire yeah. I was being more funny than serious with my reply. He might just not be attracted to younger guys. I stated this on a post before but I'm at a weird age, soon to be 35. My preferred age range on guys is 18-25 and on regular hookup sites guys that age tend to either like guys only in their age range give or take 5 years or daddies over 40. I'm in a no man's land a bit. That's one thing that led me to hiring.

So I saw the other day in his ad he has changed his age requirement. He now only sees clients over 50! I went ahead and messaged him asking if that's a hard set rule as I'm 38 and he said yes it is. I think his ad was inactive for awhile as well as I hadn't seen it pop up in a long time.
