I plan on hosting escorts in my hotel room while traveling for work. For some reason I am a bit shy about this and the neighbors listening. Especially NYC hotels where the rooms are so small and close together. Does anyone care about neighbors hearing your "sex sounds" through the walls?

I know at the end of the day it is what it is but wondering if anyone else has thought about this

Only once at a hotel have I had the people in the next room knock on the wall. That was because the bed kept knocking against the wall. Generally speaking though, you can't really hear what's going on in the next room. I've had six boys over to my room in the past few days and have had no issues whatsoever.

I used to worry about this, especially when I met a SA friend who was really into gut-punching, and decided there was nothing much I could do except turning on some moderately loud music.

I’ve never gotten a complaint.

Let yourself go and have fun... don’t worry about a problem that probably doesn’t exist.

Imagine the kookiness that goes down in NYC hotels. Hearing two men moaning through the wall is probably one of the more modest events of the evening.

Also, unless you’re staying at a boutique or a cheap hotel, no one can hear you through the wall.

I wouldn’t be concerned unless I was traveling with colleagues. I’m always worried we’ll be on the same floor as a colleague and they’ll notice someone going into my room or I have to go to the lobby to pick up the escort or be at the ATM and they see us walking up together.

Don’t worry about it! I often host at NYC hotels and have never had any issues with it. In most hotels you will need a room key to enter the elevator, so you will need to meet your boy in the lobby and take him up to your room. No one will notice or even think anything about it. Just go with the flow and you will be fine.

Connecting rooms are the worst. If those rooms are occupied, I've always heard the neighbors to one extent or another. On a couple of occasions, I explicitly heard their conversations. My standard preference, on all my hotel loyalty profiles, is never, ever, a connecting room.

Have visited a couple of guys who were in a connecting room. I made sure I didn't make too much noise.

Turn up the volume of the TV and have fun before 11 PM. Everything will be fine, just fine!

I actually have heard a male and female couple moaning while having sex next door to me in a hotel.

Women (if done properly) moan like crazy!

I remember my early days of hiring when I used to look for the cheapest decent-looking hotel I could find on expedia to host an outcall. Those days are long behind me. The quality of the hotel room really adds to the quality of the overall encounter.

Years ago, while in Chicago on business I ran into an old friend. When I realized he was in the adjoining room next to mine I quickly changed my mind about hiring that evening. The worst part was he was there with his girlfriend and they were moaning and screaming for hours.

I agree @Quincy_7.

I’m a man of simple tastes. Give me a fit-bodied and eager young man, and all I need is a decent power-shower to freshen up before we workout in a good kingsize bed, and plenty of towels to clean up later.

I remember going on a business trip near San Francisco with a co-worker; we didn't have to share rooms, which was great because I'd planned out which guys I'd hire; but they ended up putting us in rooms that shared a wall. I was self-conscious the whole time my hires were over.

I can imagine the concerns if one is married and/or closeted. Only once did a colleague see me with a provider. The next morning at breakfast we laughed about me getting a great “tune-up”.

This is what I always worry about because I’m married. Was your colleague cool with it because you were out?

Happened to me once, too. They were pretty frisky. It works better using the old drinking-glass-against-the-wall trick.

This is where we need to be ourselves, because straight people aren’t afraid to flaunt their indecencies.

“Oh my fiancé is having a baby.”

“Yeah? I just bred a guy last night myself!” And the week before that, 2 guys bred me. Yet all my tests came back negative”

Same difference!

On my last couple business trips, I knew I had the intention of hiring an escort or at least a masseur. I generally fly with my manager and one or two of my co-workers. I'm also the only guy on the team, and all the ladies typically ask for the rooms to be near each other. So I be a gentleman and let them each check in before me, once they're headed up to their rooms, I politely let the front desk know I don't want my room near theirs. The clerk's reaction is usually pretty funny, but they get it. I even had one clerk message me on Grindr but we never hooked up.
