I plan on hosting escorts in my hotel room while traveling for work. For some reason I am a bit shy about this and the neighbors listening. Especially NYC hotels where the rooms are so small and close together. Does anyone care about neighbors hearing your "sex sounds" through the walls?

Only once at a hotel have I had the people in the next room knock on the wall. That was because the bed kept knocking against the wall. I wouldn’t be concerned unless I was traveling with colleagues. I’m always worried we’ll be on the same floor as a colleague and they’ll notice someone going into my room or I have to go to the lobby to pick up the escort or be at the ATM and they see us walking up together.

Don’t worry about it! I often host at NYC hotels and have never had any issues with it. In most hotels you will need a room key to enter the elevator, so you will need to meet your boy in the lobby and take him up to your room. No one will notice or even think anything about it. Just go with the flow and you will be fine.

Connecting rooms are the worst. If those rooms are occupied, I've always heard the neighbors to one extent or another. On a couple of occasions, I explicitly heard their conversations. My standard preference, on all my hotel loyalty profiles, is never, ever, a connecting room.
