It seems reasonable. If somebody can be resuscitated after several minutes without oxygen, it isn't a stretch to think that the CNS is still able to function. My very first job was as an orderly in a VA hospital. Even then, it was commonplace to resuscitate people whose hearts stopped. They didn't typically do very well. They usually died after a day or two in ICU.
