Greetings and Happy Holidays to all. 2020 is right around the corner. To those of you planning, or even considering, on attending the Palm Springs weekend in April it is DEFINITELY time to make transportation and hotel reservations. From what I read here I realize that many of you have already done so - great. I'm not terribly concerned about those of you who will be returning as you already know the routine. However, each year we have some new guys attending, which is absolutely fantastic, and I want to encourage them to get going with those reservations. April is the height of the Palm Springs season and hotels book up quickly.

I'm sincerely looking forward to seeing and visiting with lot's of "old" friends and hopefully lot's of new attendees as well. Let's make the 2020 Palm Springs Weekend the biggest and the best yet.

Hi @Epigonos and Happy Holidays. I am in the beginning stages of planning to attend the event. If all works out, I will be a new attendee... I am going to spend this weekend looking into hotel reservations and I am going to contact @TruthBTold for advice. I have mentioned my interest in attending to some posters in the forum and am familiar with some providers who are regular attendees... Cheers!

I'll be going but I'm still deciding if I go only on the pool day or come for the weekend and bunk with someone. I met a lot of new people there and I look forward to seeing old faces.

If you are comfortable bunking with someone and the accommodations themselves then I would go for the two nights. Not sure how far away you are traveling in but unless you are coming from PS itself the travel itself seems to make one night very tiring. I always think of it as a mini-vacation so that a couple of nights make it worth it.

Funny, was just thinking that I had not seem a post from you lately. Now that I have, I am wondering where you have been,

Just taking a break. Figured I should probably start posting again, since the Palm Springs weekend is only a few short months away.

My suggestion is to do a search for discussion which detail the various aspects, from resorts, to restaurants, to participant, to escorts and beyond. They cover a lot of territory. Then if you have specific questions members are more than happy to answer them. For example, https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/2020-palm-springs-weekend-17.148023/, or https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/attention-15th-annual-palm-springs-weekend-2019.146311/ and https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/2019-palm-springs-weekend.136028/. A lot to read but you may have other inquiries.

What are these weekend events like? I'm thinking about attending.

Great recommendation from TBT:

My suggestion is to do a search for discussion which detail the various aspects, from resorts, to restaurants, to participant, to escorts and beyond.

But to keep things simple - there are two organized events and all you need to do is answer one question about each to know whether you would like to attend.

(1) Saturday dinner - - would you enjoy cocktails and dinner with a group of about 40-50 men with casual conversations about this hobby and current events?

(2) Sunday pool party - - would enjoy attending a private party at our host's rented home with a group of escorts and clients where some folks are comfortable being poolside with skimpy swimwear and less?

I first attended three years ago and it has become a "spring break" of sorts for me.

The rest of the time spent is whatever one wants to make of it, from taking advantage of the many good restaurants, attending some of the gay bars, catching up on reading poolside or talking with other guests (that may or may not be attending this event) at whichever hotel/resort you've selected, going to the gym, shopping, time at the casino, or getting a massage. Sometimes things are done alone, but other times someone lets folks know that he is planning to go to bar x after dinner Saturday and 10 or so wind up going there.

Recently Oliver added a third activity to the weekend events. After the Sunday Pool Party, at around 7 or 7:30 p.m., there is now a farewell no-host dinner at a local Mexican restaurants. I believe last year was only the second time the event was scheduled. It grew quite a bit over the previous year and there were about 25+ attendees. Oliver, I'm sure, will announce it when he posts his major Weekend post after he arrives and settles in in Palm Springs sometime in February.

You won’t be bored! Your fellow hobbyists are a wonderful group and the providers who join are a delight. I’m hoping I can make it two in a row this year. PS also has some great shopping. I bought a very well made harness at Gear and some nice door mats from a gay-owned shop on Indian Canyon.

This year, don't forget to pack those "tight" skinny jeans" so you can be "judged" (jk)
