It would be great if we were able to keep a conversation as adults committed to improve our culture and advocate for our rights.

 

There are no perfect websites. You may like or may hate Rentmen, Mintboys, Friendboy, Freakwitme, and any of the other alternatives, but you should be able to recognize that the existence of each one of them enriches the market, add to our diversity, gives sex workers and clients one more opportunity to be visible, to connect with each other, to assert our presence.

 

This thread could be a great opportunity to discuss improvements to Friendboy, if we can be more responsible giving feedback and less defensive receiving it.

Friendboy is a nice additional resource. It’s well laid out and offers us a greater palette of providers. Why don’t we simply enjoy both sites rather than squabbling about the CMS and other arcanae?

Agreed with all. I suppose I’ve been on both sides of this issue but I’m certainly in support of the existence of Friendboy. I guess I’d just love more specifics on how the site has been improved instead of the generalities. Here’s to more productive discussion.

Best thing about friendboy, IMO, is that "inscores" and "outscores" are (often) listed. That alone puts it way above any other site for me. I didn't understand earlier comments about not being able to search -- there's a prominent search box which brings up my city as soon as I type the first few letters. The profiles on FB seem generally much shorter than on RM, but the basic information and pictures are enough for me -- I always have a phone conversation before making a decision.

They should change the following contact message: "When call or text him, tell you found his info on Friendboy.pro site" to "Say you found his info on Friendboy.pro", or a diff version of that. Something that won't sound Google translated lol

Another strange quirk of the site is that at the end of the listings, there is text that suggests one "take a closer look at" the first 2 escorts in the list. And it always reflects those first top 2, even when the ads switch around. If this is supposed to point to some sort of "featured status" for those 2 escorts, it's being done in a very ineffective way, lol. As it is, it feels like a very random and essentially meaningless bit of text.

 

Also, the indications of "should be in town" (should be? Is he or isn't he?) and "should come to town soon" (Maybe he should? lol) are equally meaningless. How about specific dates?

 

I do agree that the addition of "scores" (i.e. fees) are welcome, though.

The "different site" argument is kind of hilarious. Call it what you will, this site is indisputably a direct iteration of the original site, just a generation or two down the line. May have a different CMS, may have different admins (though I see nothing that indicates this to be the case), may have improved ethical practices (I truly and sincerely hope for the best in this regard). Seriously though, I do hope for the best here.

 

Although the inclusion of "scores" is awesome, it also makes me worry -- I mean, it's pretty transparent what those are. While I can't imagine that leaving those off guarantees safety these days, putting them on when other sites don't does kind of seem like tempting fate...

I like both sites. I like the “score” and more transparency on likes on friendboy site.

 

I use RM more but often check both sites. Options are always good and hopefully the ‘competition’ keeps both sites improving.
