How much of a red flag is cutting?

I was very interested in one guy until I zoomed in on his pics and noticed those distinct scars that one gets from cutting themselves. I'm inclined not to get in touch now but I'm wondering if I'm being too judgmental. It might be in his past, for all I know.

I doubt serious depression goes away. Not everyone cut themselves for the same reason; some people used scarification in the same way others used tattoos. I will say that it's not an attractor for me, but if there are other aspects of a individual that arouse me, I probably wouldn't even pay attention.

I does not sound like you are drawing a conclusion about his character or about his worth as a human being based on the presence of cutting scars. Regardless whether you are or aren't, if the scars will detract from the pleasure you derive from spending time with him then don't contact him.

I didn't mean that anyone's suicide is less tragic. With him the stunningly nice body was his most notable feature.

Most gay men thought of committing suicide in their lives for many different reasons: closet/coming out, lack of acceptance, fear of being judged, etc.

 

Even the hottest men have something they crave and can't have.
