Avalon. Have you ever considered slowing down on the posting? Take a deep breath, go outside, jump in a pool pick up a guy at the gym. Open your window and sing songs from the Sound of Music. All these are just suggestions

 

Physically I am not able able to leave my apartment. I have not been outside since 26 April. I have arthritis in both knees. I can barely walk around my apartment. I have a car that I would go out and start once a week. When I went out in April to do that I fell in the parking lot. I was not injured but could not get up. Fortunately someone saw me collapse and called the rescue squad and they got me back into my apartment. I order groceries online but the store does not deliver so my landlord brings them to me. I have lived here 26 years. He also brings me my mail. I have a rent mail box in the same shopping center. I have no friends or family to help. I did get a Life Alert system and wear the cord around my neck.

While I (and others I assume) have full empathy and respect for your home bound situation, this doesn’t take away from the irresponsible array of silly postings. Please....think twice.

Well said. No-one's personal situation can be an excuse for becoming an annoying internet troll and flooding this forum (or any other) with countless nonsensical threads and polls. Posters need to remember that this forum is about the broader community that participates not just one person tying to reach his/her own posting goals with zero consideration of how their abusive behavior affects everyone else on the forum.

That statement is a little strong. I agree there are several people on this forum who have excessive posts. And I enjoy some of your threads. However, sometimes I may miss an interesting topic because their thread goes straight to the bottom of the page when someone is starting multiple threads during the day.

 

I would say don't stop posting but think before posting please ask yourself if the thread is interesting to others, can I learn something from other people about a subject. Can I offer an enlightened view on a subject?

 

I'm not perfect either. I've started threads before that were probably not interesting to anyone but myself but hopefully don't do that too often.

 

I'm surprised that some of your posts got traction like the pickle juice thread. I can't think of a more uninteresting subject but apparently a lot of people like pickle juice . It might be worthwhile to think twice about posting if you look at the lounge section and half the page are your threads.

 

I'd also look at other kinds of outlets on the computer. There are a lot of discussion groups. Some of them you can engage in real conversations rather than posting. I'm not an expert on these sites but I do know they exist.

I'm prejudiced to my friend (actually several of us here are) and Roald Ekberg's scene with Kris Evans is the best.
