Is there still nothing near grand central?
It would be super popular in the evening  with all the commuters.
Lazy me, I don’t even want to walk all the way down to 27th street after work for a massage and then have to walk back up to 42 for my train . 😆 

I wasn't impressed. He jumped fairly quickly into "extras" mode and he liked to flex for his own pleasure while staring at himself in the mirror. He gave a mediocre massage.

Now that we have a name to go with the masseur, I had a delightful session with Hao. I wouldn't say he has a dad bod, but he is seemed thicker than, say, Chen. He has good technique and is conscientious about ensuring your relaxation. He is not a clock watcher and is not as slave to technique - i.e. he is willing to adapt to your specific needs. I left feeling looser and relaxed. 

Pretty sure he’s the HK manager and not doing sessions any more. He had a great “elbow style” that while panned by many, I liked a lot. Plus he’s a nice guy and even nicer to look at from the table view.

I haven’t been in a while, but I’ve always had a decent experience at 27/HK.
 
I’d avoid TSMS, my last few visits were less than great. 

Tip: What I always do is ask on my way out when I hand them their tip. "What was your name again?" And this way, good or bad, I know for next time. Works every time. 

i had an appointment with ricardo at shangrila.  perhaps my expectations were too high given the very positive reviews, but my expectations were not met.  the massage was completely average, but the real problem is that he hit me up for a tip during the session. i don’t know if these masseurs realize how unrelaxing it is to start calculating tip amounts while receiving a massage and wondering whether the nice tip i had planned to give is sufficient.  i understand that’s the masseur’s motivation, but (like so many of us) i want to give a nice tip because i really enjoy the service, not because the masseur wants to negotiate in the middle of the massage. even if i left “happy,” i wasn’t happy. i would not go back to him. 

I have just warned him.  If any more same report from any resources like google map review/direct message/or this forum   I won’t talk with him at all. Fire directly. 
 
Last night.   I got directly message from one our clients.   Complaints that one of our workmate requested extra tip, he has been fired already.    
 
After that.  I talked in our work group. Many senior workmate more or less notice that new generation workmate has such behavior.  
 
Sooooo. Here. I need help.    Whenever you find any of our workmates directly negotiating tip or IMPLYING TO have more tip. Such as : can you take care of me.    Please let me know.  I appreciate it !

I am certain that Scottchas was Chad at Spa 27 (image 77 on the Spa 27 file). Decent massage and fittingly belongs in this topic on CoM.

Went again yesterday and saw David. He’s a bit older and has amazing massage skills. At first i thought it would be entirely therapeutic or at most sensual but i was ok with that because it was a top quality massage. But once i turned over i knew I’d leave happy and i did. I had a massage from Cody a few weeks ago for only 30 min. Damn I regret it. I wish I did at least and hour or 90 min. Massage was amazing 🤩 

Everyone always says YMMV. I caught Oliver one night for his last session of the day, and he was very interested in giving a super-enjoyable attentive massage.

Would also be interested in the latest doc. Haven’t seen one in a while. Also worth adding that 27 is one of the best in the city. Save for some of the one off experiences here, generally it’s very well run and none of the BS you get at other places like shorting on time or negotiating tips. 

Had Santiago a couple weeks ago.  The massage started out ok, although he didn't speak one word upon entering the room and until about 20 min into the massage where he asked if everything was ok.  I was on my back in under 30 min and he was done and out of the room in under 45 min.  I usually tip well, but shortage of time is an automatic $20 reduction in tip and non repeat for me (this usually doesn't happen here, but seems happening more often as it did with one of the asian guys that I didn't get his name (I think Nick) last month.  I can't understand why they do this - offer an average/slightly above average massage, but ruin it by cutting off 10-15 min?!?!?!?  Crazy that ten more min of massage I would have probably been a repeat customer and left at least a $20 larger tip. The strangest thing about Santiago is when he ended the massage he just did a half assed job of cleaning off the oil and left the room without saying anything (I thought he went to get another towel since it was still under 45 min into the massage and I was still sticky with oil).  After laying there for well over 5 min waiting, I got dressed and got the hell out feeling like I wasted time and money. 

Alven left TSMS and is working at Energy and G man spa currently.  I don’t know another Alven than the chipmunks
