I never met him when he was in ATL. I saw his ad, but I also saw his grindr profile. It made the no-hire decision easy for me.
  2. I've met him couple times. First time, about 3 years ago when he was a newbie trying to earn some cash in college. He graduated, works a professional job, which he doesn't like, but it's a job and a paycheck, so he plays along. He's smart, savvy, entrepreneurial. I saw him again a few months ago. He's a fun playmate and enjoys escorting. He's not model handsome, but definitely cute for 24 or 25ish, and he works hard on his body. I would gladly see him again, but I'm rarely in Atlanta these days.
  3. We're on pace to hit it May 23.
  4. That message in that medium says everything about the board chair. A serious person and leader does not communicate like that. Show the chair how it's done privately; if that doesn't work, bring out openly in the next board meeting, and resolve it there.
  5. Are those the same ornaments you dragged me, thru the hot swampy streets in the Quarter, to check out in the window? 😅 That was a fun week. We need to plan something soon!
  6. Perhaps "selfie" was not the correct word. It was a body pic of him wearing briefs. His head was cropped, but he would have passed as the typical Palm Springs weekend attendee. HAHAHA!
  7. When the ad first went live, another pic was there too, not at all consistent with those that remain on the ad. I presume the individual behind the ad accidentally posted one of his own selfies. It was not a premium marketing image for a RM listing and was deleted within a few hours. It's kinda funny to get a glimpse of the person really behind one of these questionable listings. HAHA!
  8. I met Anton in the mid or late 2000s. I think we shared an overnight. I remember him as very sweet, great dinner companion, and super sensual in the bedroom. I may have seen him again socially at some event, but my memory of that is fuzzy. We never had another business meeting; primarily because our travels did not align. The man was a frequent flyer. His rentboy ad always had lots of travel plans posted. Wish him well wherever he is!!
  9. The Grindr-ization of RM started years ago. Grindr is Grindr, and that's fine. I occasionally use it and have successfully met a few guys for fun in different cities. RM should be RM, but it's not; the communications often mimic Grindr. That's the reason I am far less likely to take chances on newbies than I did in years past.
  10. 3 time zones. West coast to Atlanta, and east coast to Vegas or PS.
  11. The signature for my first name was developed in college, but the distinctive signature I still use for my last name was developed in the course of my first professional job after college. During the years I worked there, I had to sign thousands of documents, most certainly still retained in some storage format by the US Navy and the Dept of Energy. That particular signature was unique to that job. Below the signature line was printed "Mr. J. J. Teck, Official Title". So, I signed J. J. Teck alot. I used my first and last name in all subsequent employment. The only time I use my middle initial now is on a legal document.
  12. Started the hobby in my early 30s, around Y2K. I was prolific in the first decade. 😉 My hobbying has waned in recent years, but covid is not the reason for the loss of interest. Only one session in 2021. I do have someone on my radar, and if travel circumstances coincide between us, there will be a second session before year end.
  13. If these hourly rates seem a tad high, ask some newbies for an overnight quote. Some of the responses have been eye-popping. I have had new providers with no reputation quote the highest numbers ever. For now, I'll just sit on the sidelines and drool from a distance. 😛
  14. One of my all-time faves. It always makes me laugh.
  15. He jumped on Rentmen a few days ago. Under the name "YusufB"
  16. In recent days, RM has changed how their search results will display. It's a mess now, less useful than previously, and guarantees that I will spend less time scrolling through the listings. Prior to the change, a "new guys" search would list the providers based on the most recent login activity, first platinum, then gold, then the rest. It's a scramble now. And if you search a city, they will still list the ads in order platinum, gold, etc, but the ads are scrambled and listings of ads which have had no activity in weeks or months are randomly mixed. Major downgrade!
  17. Interesting. I'll be in the Quarter this week. Perhaps......
  18. One or two years ago, he messaged me through RM and asked me to submit a review of him. Definitely odd and scammy since I had never met him or contacted him. I ignored the message and blocked his ad.
  19. I haven't thought about that place in a long time, and haven't been there in 10-12 years, but this thread's revival brings back pleasant memories.
  20. Happy birthday and congrats on taking the risk to advance your future!
  21. Few other items: -Ask him if you need specific clothing for any outings he may plan or anticipate. You need enough info to pack your travel bag correctly. -Let him know if you need something or are hungry. I always make a point of discussing this with companions. We can't read your mind, and our eating habits/schedules are often very different from those who are younger than us. -If you hit it off and things are going well, it's ok to enjoy yourself. Enjoy your client, your time together, the experience, and follow up with a thank you after the meeting has ended. If it's a win-win meeting, the appreciation could lead to another meeting, and that's a key component of success in this biz.....repeat clients and longer meetings. That reduces the wear and tear on your mind, and makes your business more efficient. Enjoy the ride!
  22. I have ended several appointments early, and I don't just mean an hour or two....a day or two. Physical appearance or hygiene were never the issues. Dreadful personalities or disinterest in my wants/needs are enough for me to end a dull meeting. I'm not going to fake my way through a meeting that is not fun. I'd rather call it quits, pay the guy, and do something else, than try to gut out a bad meeting. The money has already been spent; I'd rather not waste anymore of the more valuable commodity.....my time.
  23. Many times. It's OK to ask him how you can make his weekend the best possible experience, e.g. public outings and private time. And it's proper to expect a reasonable amount of sleep each night, and some quiet time each day to check your messages, texts and emails. If you keep the phone time to modest use, focus on creating a satisfying encounter for both of you, and communicate (speak and listen well) with your client, you will exceed the expectations of most clients and will likely create a win-win meeting for both of you. Best wishes and have fun!
  24. There is a market for everyone (companions), but no one is for everyone (clients). If you are a people-person, client-focused, can efficiently manage your schedule, and simply keep your word, you can and will do well. Best wishes and welcome to the forum!
