Wow. I just read this entire thread (and the older one), and all I can say is that the next time I am in New York, I am making an appointment with Alex Blessings for 90 minutes or possibly a two-hour massage.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread! You all made me want to experience his massage for myself.
  2. Thanks

Consider that a masseur’s pricing is his way of screening out clients who are not the kind he wants, and to limit the number of bookings he has to fit his capacity.
You might look at his ad, pics etc and say he’s pushing it. That’s his intention - he’s screened you out without even having to handle your enquiry.
There’s loads of potential clients who want to pay a lot less than £130 or so a hour for a sensual massage. Or even pay nothing…just look at the numbers looking for ‘massage exchange’ where they expect a massage for free in exchange for giving one back. That end of the market is big.
One could fish there for business by setting a lower rate but you’d get all sorts of time wasters, cheap clients and those who know the price of everything but the value of nothing. I certainly don’t want those kind of clients. If they do somehow contact me their first question is often “do you do discounts?” or “what’s your best rate?”. Those clients don’t get to book.
When I first started I had an enquiry from a client who asked about my rate. He said he really wanted to book but my hour rate was too much for him and would I discount? He said he’d “definitely become a regular” (a common phrase used by such clients by the way). I declined to discount it so he went away….for a week..and then asked again. Same response “no discount, sorry”. Eventually he agreed to the rate and booked an hour.
I was surprised that he actually turned up on the day, but he did…and had the massage, which he said he enjoyed. I always ask for payment afterwards and at this point he says “oh I’ve only got £x on me, is that ok?”. I said “no, we agreed £y but I’ve a card reader so you can pay the balance (about 40% short of the agreed rate) by card”. He said “he didn’t want the transaction appearing on his account”. He then promised to pay the balance next time or to do a bank transfer when he got home. I declined that and told him I’d walk him to the cashpoint where he’d draw the balance and pay me. That’s what we eventually did. Total waste of time.
Lesson learned: never book ‘low rent’ clients.

There is no comprehensive, widely used, purpose-built platform. Mr Number is one of the closest things you will find and it’s dodgy, at best. Anything else we use we keep close to the vest, and for good reason. If you knew about it, it would defeat the purpose. Next topic.

    I agree.
I don't personally like to hire escorts, as I prefer to meet people in person before I know if I am interested in them, sexually.
Men who offer both sexual services and (reasonably good)massage services are my preference. Booking for a massage gives me a chance to meet them, at a reasonable rate. If I am interested in more, this encounter gives me a chance to discuss sex services IN PERSON after the massage is completed, the provider is paid, and he has had a chance to meet me and catch the vibe of my personality. This also drastically limits the always present risk of entrapment in a prostitution sting operation.

I find it exciting when a guy has ads both on rentmasseur and on rentmen.  It shows he is willing to go all the way.  The difference is in the fees you are willing to pay.  I do not expect escort service at a massage rate.

I only hire for overnights, and I’m finding that’s too much effort for not enough time.  I’m starting to plan more 4-5 day trips, or having them stay at my place if I’ve known them for a while.  I like time to just relax with wine, music, food etc.

I'm in a slump right now too.  Haven't hired since September and have not opened Grindr/Scruff in several months.  I used to be a combination of hiring and guys from the apps.  I see a few guys that appeal to me but the part of my brain that has to send the texts and make the arrangements isn't interested.  I'm pretty sure that if I went thru the effort to hire or hookup I would have a good time.
I've complained/commented to my Dr. and testosterone is in normal ranges.  I suspect I'm part of the group with continuing low-grade Covid depression.
Jacking off is still good and I'm trying to hold-off for a bit to see if that helps raise the libido.

To @Spiritualadvisor’s point. I expect that the apt is NOT his own apt. I noticed no personal items — photos, plants, tchotchkes, etc. — in the living room or bathroom that suggests a person actually lives there. Rentals for higher-end Manhattan apts usually require a good credit score and decent reported income…neither of which the provider is likely to have. [end]

Hi everyone. A client told me to come to this forum. I'm not Ivy, and I did a videochat with a couple of forum members here in the past months and I proved that, and I'm happy to do a video chat with anyone here for free to prove that. I did read Ivy's site earlier last year, and I thought, "Why not me?" recently.
Thanks again for the love and nice DMs I received on here and on RM Messenger- I deliver what I promise and I offer a satisfaction guarantee or your money back. Have a great week

Does Zelle offer anonymity? I know from personal experience Venmo doesn’t. I used it once with a provider and was mortified when he said “Got it. You’re [my full real name], right?”

Won’t use Venmo anymore until they change that.

My point is that a smart escort is not your average seeking guy. Your average seeking guy almost cares more about the shopping, first class flights, luxury hotels etc than the cash. At least from my experiences.  They instagram EVERYTHING, which I don’t entirely get either.  You’re so right about smoke and mirrors.
I’ve only ever had to say no to one request. A tacky Louis Vuitton gold bracelet from Harrods. I find that nearly every other request for clothes, wallets, underwear (my fave) has been reasonable.  How do you say no to this?

    Bravo 🙌🏾
And this is part of the reason I really just prefer to buy my own stuff. Everything in my closet I brought it, my car and hopefully soon enough, my place. I have “too” many clothes as it is, if a client is going to gift me something: it’s given not asked or “coddled” for.
I understand the whole “he doesn’t consider himself an escort” cliche but: guys like that I don’t necessarily “hate” but, if they come at me on some “I don’t whore I just have guys buy me stuff” nonsense, then that’s where I’m going to be like 🤨
I personally don’t vibe guys like that because, they’re opportunists. I’ve come across a few every now and then: always good looking, sexy, can come in any race: but they go on dates making the other person pay for everything, while they sit back and contribute little to nothing until you can “prove” yourself to them.

I remember couple or so years ago: I went on a date with a guy to Landrys Seafood. It’s like our second meet, and this was his way of me needing to “prove” myself to him. I ordered fish, he ordered fish: then sent it back and got lobster. Fair enough. But a $140 bill was not something I was expecting 😂 eventually he got the point down the line: What he looking to get, he’s not going to find in someone who’s trying to get it themselves. We ended up being friends but…over time I started to feel the one sidedness was too much to deal with. It was mostly all about him.

I may be hired fun but, I’m never in the Mind-frame to take advantage of someone. Some of these “non escorts” are professional scam artists in the long run. They know how to get what they want out of dudes…and more power to them. But he who giveth, taketh away. I’ve seen it more than enough.

That said I don’t mean to imply this to anyone’s here particular situation. And if it’s fun and mutually consenting, by all means. It’s nothing wrong with doing nice things for others.

I see he has modified the text in his ad. It's now one of the better-worded ads out there. I like that he mentions needing 90 minute's notice for "right now." He shouldn't have to say that, but some clients think escorts can teleport themselves.

Well, no wonder he's a dud. When you count the number of monthly customers you need to satisfy that number alone, that's a ton of stress. Even if you love what you do, stress will kill the love. No one can have a happy life if the fight for rent is a daily chore. I can't think of a better way to burn out.

He also travels frequently so he seems to be doing quite well in spite of his inability to get repeat customers.
I would estimate he's spending somewhere around $ 4000/ mo for that apartment.
