For me it's personality. If we both hit it off, I dont even think about a tip. That always sorts itself out if we are both genuinely enjoying ourselves. And from a repeat business POV, it translates to that client becoming a regular.

A tip should be a thanks for absolutely fantastic service not to make up for lack of fair basic pay. It some industries and places it seems to have developed into compensation for poor pay and hasn’t much to do with whether the service went beyond all expectations.
Also I think there’s a misconception that escorts make loads of money because their hourly rate is high. Take into consideration that it’s not practically possible to work 45 hours a week 50 weeks a year doing escort work and the hourly rate comes down. Yes some days you make a lot, but some days it’s zero. If you get sick or catch something you’re out of action for at least a week. You have to keep a place to work, keep fit, advertise etc so there’s overheads too. Don’t assume that because you paid £200 for an hour that that’s what he gets every hour every day.

It was a great night, I have awesome memories of it, and if the circumstances were all in place to make it happen again, I would go with it.
I guess my one disappointment was that on his website he talks about kink and leather, but does not have any of that great gear with him in Asia where he lives permanently.
I knew that going into the appointment but if i were to improve on the evening, some leather bondage and discipline would have taken it from 5 star to 6 star for me

IMO, the longer the adventure, the more communication is required beforehand. @westernsydit sounds like you guys did the communication thing pretty well.  Would you have changed anything from that specific encounter?
I feel like one overnight packs in enough information about each other to have a good idea about moving forward with repeat encounters or calling it a one-off. Yes, it is a bit of a gamble if you're on the fence, but hey...meeting a stranger and staying the night is always an adventure in some way!

For traveling regulars at hotels, I pack light as there is always anything available at any time and never had an issue calling up some towels, extra mouthwash, etc. For any new clients?  Pretty much already listed here. @HoleTrainerhas his list like a precise military kit list.  I love it.  One underrated piece of kit is the bt speaker.  Really nice if a client likes music and you're giving a massage, likes a certain genre when the session is "in full effect", etc
I also use it for age regression. I have a deal with an online "mommy" who essentially licenses out her audio clips while I am serving clients in baby space who want that soothing mommy voice while in the session.
I have also pre-ordered sex toys for clients who cannot or do not want to order themselves. I once ordered a client a fleshjack and his message of thanks was, "Don't worry! I'm not breaking up with you!"  Dead!

they could take a screenshot, save it, pass it on, post it on here. I think the OP @Alexphilly wants to keep his friends and family from finding out what he does for a living.
So many guys on here saying they would never hire without seeing a face pic... yet 15 or even 10 years ago most guys didn't show their faces in the ads. I wonder what they did back then?

This 100%.  We don't know who might be with the escort/client, who they may be waiting for or who is around that is unaware of that side of his life.  I once had an awkward encounter from one former client in a clothing store who saw me and started asking me if I lived in the area, what I'm doing, etc with no hello or normal type of greeting. He was with his grandkid.  It was awkward.

If it was something so far from the usual and I wasn't comfortable with it, I'd just decline the booking.  I'd never try to add on a premium for anything, however.
Also, when the session is "beyond the norm", whatever that may entail, from my experience a tip is almost always given and never asked for.  So going back to what you're comfortable with; if you are it will show.  If not, you're wasting both your time on a lackluster encounter that will probably be reflected in a negative review.

I know I've seen some Wix & Squarespace sites, not sure what their official stance is on this industry as a whole but it has been done.  Wordpress seems to be the go-to however.  I use SS for my mainstream business and it's always been easy to create/maintain.

Without going into any details, I was lucky enough to work in an establishment that attracted clients, so I'd say 85-90% of clients are long time regulars. That's not to say that new clients can't become regulars, but the way I run my business, regulars take priority when it comes to booking time.

From past experience with an ads up during pride, it was crickets. As my other posts allude to, one-offs don't make my year, it's regulars. Xmas, holidays, summers and vacations with the regs. Pride is a passing event that might attract the short term horny client, but IMO that's not where the money is for me personally. And frankly, it's more of a detriment to my business as my regs don't partake in Pride or are even remotely visible during that time.

CalTec got a reaction from + HornyRetiree in watching escorts be with one another while you watch
I've had the opportunity to work (or play, depending on how you look at it) with other escorts. I found it prudent to lay out the difference between a threesome and a voyeur-centric session as many times things can naturally turn into the former. At no fault of the client, but if rates are to change based on a pre-arranged session type, it should be adjusted in short order. It has never been an obstacle and the clients have understood.
With voyeur-centric sessions, I have offered the client my dedicated work phone to snap photos that I would in turn edit to watermark, remove face/other details that myself or the escort I'm with wishes to have removed. A bit of a personal touch.

100% your call. I don't know anything about you but if you are in this business for a short period just to make some money for a project, or this is just a side gig to complement your main source of income, i.e. a job where you just started and you would be negatively impacted if this activity is discovered, then you have all the rights to protect your privacy. That's why there is something called "Right to Privacy".
With that being said, you should accept that some clients will lose interest after hearing about your privacy policy. I personally don't look for Ken dolls because what I look for is even more scarce: Tops. So in most cases I will leave good looks in the background (not that I'm going to hire a monster) as long as the provider is a well-reputed hung top.
As an anecdote, some of the most reviewed providers in my city don't show face, one is one of my regulars. I suppose it comes down to how you market yourself and the service you provide. If you make clients happy rest assured that they will leave good reviews and give you a good reputation. If you are getting the amount of business you want and you are happy with it, don't let anyone tell you how to conduct your own business.

Totally agree with this.  Not all of us rely on this as a sole means of earning a living and need to post a face pic on an escort site such as RM.  In the past, I've had the luxury of working in an environment with direct client interaction which has translated to many regular and loyal customers over many years.  Currently I don't and won't ever send a face pic to anyone, period.  It doesn't matter who I will lose, there will always be clients who are willing to hire, face unseen. And let's not forget, different clientele require different SOP's.  Speaking from my own experience, the clients I see surely don't want to share photos of themselves and understand the importance of mutual discretion.
