Given majority of flight attendants are female, then I'd think more females would test positive for monkeypox if indeed he was infected in the plane.

I’m not so sure I’m buying it, but I’m glad he’s recovering.

It's ok. At the time I didn't understand why either but from looking at the faq at the nyc health site https://www1.nyc.gov/assets/doh/downloads/pdf/monkeypox/jynneos-vaccine-faq.pdf, this is what it states:
Can I get the vaccine at the same time as other vaccines?
The JYNNEOS vaccine may be given before, after or at the same time as other vaccines. The exceptions are the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. People at increased risk of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart), particularly young adult males, might consider waiting four weeks after their JYNNEOS vaccine to get a dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. However, if vaccination is recommended due to a known exposure to monkeypox, you should get the JYNNEOS vaccine even if you recently got the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

They’re releasing another batch tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 am, though there are slots bookable (for a jab tomorrow) right now as well.

I've never seen a tip jar at a private party in someone's home. When I've hosted a small party, there's no tip jar but I do give a tip the bartender at the end of the evening.

UPDATE; Saw my ID doc who said this was definitely reaction to the vaccine and not to worry! Plus they have disappeared after 2 days! No more have shown up and no other symptoms.

Horrifying story of SF man who had so much trouble with medical help:
From sfchronicle.com:Two days after Kevin Kwong flew home to California from New York, his hands itched so badly, the pain jolted him from sleep. He thought the problem was eczema.
“Everything started rapidly getting worse,” the Emeryville resident said. “I started to get more spots, on my face, more redness and they started leaking fluid. The rash expanded to my elbows and my hands and my ankles.”
It took Kwong, 33, six virtual appointments with doctors and nurses, one call to a nurse hotline, a trip to an urgent care clinic, two emergency room visits, and two incorrect diagnoses before an infectious disease specialist diagnosed him with monkeypox in early July.
Despite taking two tests, he never tested positive.

Another patient interview. His advise is if you have been exposed, to try your best to get a vaccine.

It is in the link I clicked on:
Two monkeypox patients who died in Spain after developing brain swelling did not have compromised immune systems or chronic illnesses according to a report by the country's Ministry of Health.
Two monkeypox-related deaths were reported from Spain on July 29 and 30, marking what were reported to be the first monkeypox deaths in Europe in the current outbreak.
The men who died were aged 44 and 31. The deaths occurred in Valencia and Andalusia, which are two of the of the five most-affected regions of Spain in terms of monkeypox cases. Newsweek has contact Spain's Ministry of Health for comment
In the report, Jado states that neither man had associated risk factors. They were not immunocompromised and had no other chronic diseases. The patients also did not have an epidemiological link to one another.

I just read this article from a few days ago about the recent Monkeypox deaths in Spain. Both were young, healthy, and not immunocompromised.
"In a report to the World Health Organization (WHO), Dr. Isabel Jado, director of Spain's National Center for Microbiology, outlined details of the two deaths that had occurred in the country, including that they developed encephalitis—a swelling of the brain."

I got my first shot today. I took the train from Antwerp all the way to France as the city of Lille was having an open walk-in day with the only restriction being you had to be a gay MSM. A friend and I took the first train out. Many, many of the men in the line were from Belgium as the vaccine supply (and rollout) is extremely limited, as are the restrictions for qualifying . Two of our national tv stations even came to France to interview the Belgians there.
There were not enough vaccines for everyone that showed up and the organization seemed overwhelmed by the amount that showed up and how many of them were from Belgium. Every single worker there was incredibly friendly and they were very patient with my limited French.

When I got my monkeypox jab, they advised us not to get covid booster shot (Pfizer or Moderna) within 4 weeks of getting the monkeypox shot.

I got my vaccine today. Very easy though in Denver it's only available at the department of public health at a clinic or drive-through clinic.
Fortunately, my doctor actually informed me of the availability since I asked about it during my last Prep appointment. It sounds like Colorado is informing and getting vaccines to as many people who are on Prep as possible, which is definitely a good call.
Really no side-effects at all. Not even really sore. So glad to have it!

Just went to Fire Island Pines recently and had a great time!
My friends and I opted not to do the underwear party this year due to monkeypox and instead just went to the piano bar. Lots of space. Great times singing showtunes and pop music. Loved it! To no surprise, drinks were pricey at $13 per single drink and $26 for a double.
I went for a jog each morning and every single guy I said "hi" to at least acknowledged me and said "hi" back or waved.  Overall I think people at FIP are friendly but yes there will always be mean gurl type guys there too.
If it's your first time going, I suggest going with a friend who knows FIP or attend one of those fundraisers at one of the FIP mansions.

My friends and I would walk to Cherry Grove, and then take the water taxi or water limo back to FIP in the evening.
