So far I found three competitors who are competing tomorrow and unsure about two additional competitors. They barely use social media. I just don't get. The other bodybuilding shows (that I never went to) has tons of guys on social media counting down the day to the competition and sharing their experiences on Instagram or YouTube down to when they check in at the venue to when they get a tan and what meal they're eating. I'm so pissed I can hardly find anything. I waited so long for this. Don't these guys want sponsors and more views/likes?? Why wouldn't they share more about the competition? 

How would I pre-arrange and set an appointment with the potential ones that are interested? Any advice? I was thinking since they are so focused on the bodybuilding competition, they wouldn't mind the photography since they are so focused on the bodybuilding aspects. Have you done this before? 

There's a bodybuilding competition that I plan to go to soon and with the amount of muscle there will definitely be some guys down to make some extra $$$ to show off. How can I tell which guys are available to do anything on the side? That includes but not limited to: photoshoots, live flex shows, muscle worshipping, etc. Note: I'm not asking to do all of these. Would love to get some insight and I definitely know some of you may have done this already. PM if you not comfortable sharing your secrets with everyone

Wait until after the competition. Shortlist your favourites and search for their placements and socials. With so many categories, yet only the one 1st in each, chances are your shortlist will be comprised of mainly 2nd place or lower. I always give money in an unsealed envelope, especially with first-time providers. I leave it on a desk where they can see it as soon as they walk in. They’ve never counted it in front of me, and I avoid handing it to them directly (only with first-time providers). They know it’s there and will take it when appropriate. Personally, handing someone the money to inspect and then taking it back until they fulfill their end of the agreement feels awkward and unprofessional. It’s better to establish trust and respect from the beginning by keeping the process smooth and discreet.

Yes, he is a very good looking guy and by all accounts a good time, but I guess he’s pre-occupied at the moment.  Makes me nervous trying to set anything up.

Agreed. If it's a new provider that I'd like to meet im setting those expectations in advance. I pay after. And if it's good I'm going back. That simple

keep in  mind there are members here at CoM who disagree with not paying up front and it's been mentioned in a million other posts, but I can only advise from my personal experience.

That was the case at last weekend’s competition. Most in the audience were snapping pics with their iPhones (including me). As long as you stayed low and didn’t block anyone’s sight lines, security didn’t seem to care. They were more concerned with people capturing videos rather than stills. Knowing this beforehand, I didn’t bring by DSLR camera. Even without it, I was able to capture some good stage stills using the iPhone. Not sure if I’ll bring it along to the Olympia. I doubt it will be allowed in the competition. But perhaps in the Expo?  Could always keep it on-hand for a photo shoot or three with the visiting talent. 

You may run into problems with the event's security guys on the photography.  Increasingly it seems that promoters will forbid any competition photography other than whoever they have officially hired.  "Professional" cameras may not be allowed in the auditorium at all, which poses a dilemma.  The security guys may think that any camera with an attached lens thereby makes it "professional," but a pro-looking camera is more likely to impress and tempt a competitor.  I have seen photographers who just want pictures for themselves be escorted out of an auditorium.  In addition, promoters may likely ban any solicitation of photography anywhere at the venue.  At least that's what I have seen in the NPC / IFBB from the "Camera Nazis."

If a provider asks for payment up front [except for travel expenses, which is totally reasonable request]  there is always a good chance it's a con or scam. Some guys on CoM with deep pockets and no budget for their hobby  think it's OK to pay up front.
 

I’ve known “Joey” for 12 years (lives around the block from me).  Reading the comments, makes me chuckle because of the accuracy  and cause sexually he’s remained the same since the first time I nailed his ass in 2012;  he ultimately desires to be a passive btm with an “older bro type” [me] and /or “dad type”.  As for the guys he likes to fuck; short, thick, EXTREMELY hairy muscled cub twunks (it’s a very specific look he’s into).
 
my feeling is if “Joey”sorta just laid there like a pillow princess, on his stomach w/ass presented upwards (regardless of expressing you wanting to be fucked and him still fully clothed) “Joey’s”hoping u take the cue / lead and initiate annihilating his hungry hole!!! 
 
as others have stated,  escorting is a side gig / hobby for him (to find daddy tops ultimately imho).   He was the very first person I knew to get an OF and had this natural desire to be making a living off of social media, before it was even a thing or the term “influencer” existed.
 It’s funny, when he first arrived from Long Island, fresh off the LIRR, he was this super thin, slightly flamboyant little suburban italian twink dancing to showtunes in hot pants on Vine, YouTube videos etc, then he met me, and was fascinated by the life I’d created for myself and especially my travels around the world (I was leaving to Australia the next day), and I think it’s fair to say that my natural 🇮🇹🇺🇸 masculinity had an affect on how he chose to present himself from that point forward.  (Its my understanding he lacked for male role models growing up)

I used to donate money every year to the men's wrestling team at a local college. That gave me a number of perks including front row attendance at any match and permission to watch any of the practice sessions.
 
It was fun and I saw an incredible collection of hot guys, but I stopped after a few seasons because, honestly, the experience made me feel like a creep.

About 6 or 7 years ago when rentboy was still out there ... I saw an ad for someone that clearly in college... I rented and he hosted.. he was late for our second appointment and txt me to let me know he was on his way back from practice... I inquired and it was wrestling.
