He's better than Cats, I will see him again and again. [J/K]
-
Remember Tumblr? OF will have to see if they can attract enough mainstream creators. Supposedly they're trying to attract more vloggers, musicians, fitness trainers, etc. The problem is there's other creator driven sites like CuriosityStream already have a presence and reputation since a lot of Youtubers have been setting up parallel content as a defence against Youtube's wierd algorthm changes and predatory DMCA strikes. It's a more crowded field than when OF started. I'm guessing a lot of the guys will move over to JFF, if they haven't already. I'm sure a lot had content on both already, so it probably wouldn't change things up for them much. Then JFF will get more LEO scrutiny and start restricting the content creators, too. Wash, rinse, repeat. One nice thing is that JFF makes it easier to preview a guy's content and get an idea of what they post and how often.

The centennials are changing social conventions. Is that good?
+ DynamicUno replied to + FreshFluff's topic in The Lounge
One of my favorite memories in my working life was when I was in a launch meeting with a particularly obnoxious production manager who botched his ramp up plan badly. I told him it was impossible to meet the requirements without air shipping and he told me to go fuck myself. I immediately retorted that at least I'd do it right and if I let him do it he'd show up late, expect me to do all the work, and somehow the cat would end up pregnant. My boss and I had a good laugh about the look on his face afterward. Anyway, back to nosy busybody social media "influencers".... -

Alpharetta Georgia: Any thoughts on living there?
+ DynamicUno replied to Doe Be Doe's topic in The Lounge
Alpharetta is a relatively nice neighborhood in Atlanta. If you will be commuting for work, definitely consider your commute because GA 400 and I285 are terrible. The new interchange is still under construction, I think, but the traffic will be still be lousy after it's done. I used to commute between Duluth and there so I avoided the freeways entirely. The nearby areas have some huge Korean, Vietnamese, and Latin American immigrant communities for some excellent variety for dining out. The Buford Hwy Farmers Market was one of my favorite excursions, too. -
Should I need to curse a Quebecer, may his escorts be flaccid and his only poutine from McDonald's.

I know it's geographically inaccurate, but I couldn't help thinking of the Return of the Swallowers to Capistrano...

I don't see how it's possible. There's no reliable way to tie IP addresses to particular states, and users could VPN around it anyway.

It's one of the dumbest items in their review format. Can you imagine seeing a dom muscle top for a bdsm session and saying it was "relaxing"? Also, if you're hiring for an outcall, you're usually the one who's in control of the ambiance. The guy just has to show up and not mess the place up (aside from a good mess on the bedsheets). I suspect most guys answer based on how comfortable they felt meeting with the guy overall, but that's not particularly useful.

I'm sure the providers will love a guy who is always prepared with a towel, though!

He's been on RM for a while. Good reviews, but not a lot of them. He looks quite cute with a nice package. Has anyone met up with him? https://rent.men/Lorshan

How accurate is "I'm Into?"
+ DynamicUno replied to + keroscenefire's topic in Questions About Hiring
It's as varied as the guys themselves. Since a site like RM shows "intos" as binary [yes/no] options, the degree a guy is into certain things can't be captured. He may be interested it a particular scene up to a point. "Groups" for instance could be as tame as a three way or as big as a full blown house orgy, and he may be comfortable with one type and not the other. I generally assume that a guy who doesn't check off particular items is not interested in engaging clients who are looking for that kind of scene. That doesn't mean they're not into it, just that they don't want to field the inquiries especially from clients they haven't met yet. I've met a couple providers who are pretty vanilla on their profiles, but they will definately get into some kinky scenes if they know a guy. Usually, I've found asking about a particular scene ahead of time helps clarify what they will do and any limits they might have. I had a few times I wanted to try somethign new and I found asking about it helped open up a discussion that lead to some pretty fun sessions, but it also helped us negotiate the scene up front. Other times it helped me figure out it wouldn't work out. -
I've occasionally had a problem if someone was wearing a thicker cloth mask and they weren't annunciating clearly. A simple "I'm sorry I couldn't hear you clearly, could you repeat that" was more than sufficient since the other person will usually talk a bit louder and more clearly after that.

WTF?!? Xtube Shutting Down - End of an era!
+ DynamicUno replied to EastCoastBtm's topic in The Lounge
The best bet is to google his username. It looks like some of his videos were re-uploaded to other sites. If he didn't upload them himself, they probably won't be up indefinately. If the guy didn't have any other presence or aliases online, his stuff will probably disappear as these sites purge unattributable content. -
WTF?!? Xtube Shutting Down - End of an era!

I'm surprised it took this long. They had to crack down on the user uploads and delete a huge portion of the content, and a lot of what remained was studio teaser snips like they have on the PornHub sites. I'm a little surprised they couldn't pivot to bank on the paid subscriptions more like OnlyFans, but I think their userbase was less inclined to use that feature when they had free content in the same site alongside the subscription stuff. It makes sense that the operators would start shuttering redundant or declining properties. I think they've got at least six sites running, if not more. -

Brightline is actually a full fat rail project, though it's been limited to the Miami-WPB leg up until now. It kind of duplicated Tri-Rail's route but with far fewer stops. They've been building an expansion up the FEC right-of-way and over to the station at Orlando International, and claming a 3 hour planned trip time (better than you can likely do by car given the usual I-95/Turnpike traffic). There's also a proposal to extend it to Tampa, though that's still on the drawing board. They're using modern, American built, Siemens trainsets (Charger loco and Venture railcar equipment). I'm looking forward to seeing how well it performs when they open it next year, since I can see taking a vacation in one city but easily taking a day or overnight excursion for a change of pace. Incidentally, Amtrak is also preparing to roll out new trainsets for their midwest services using the Venture cars in the near future. They look like a nice upgrade for taking a weekend trip to Chicago. But for the Las Olas loop idea, if TBC replicates the 'Teslas in a Tube' concept they produced for the LVCC, it's going to be a low capacity curiosity instead of a real transport asset. More like the Detroit Peoplemover than anything else. I hope Fort Lauderdale passes on it.

As I understand it (as a lay person), south Florida's geology is generally stable and not prone to the kind of dangerous sinkhole formation common in other parts of the state. They'd have to make sure it is well sealed and built with well designed entrances to avoid flooding or damage to the aquifers. I'd be more concerned in parts further north and inland. But, just because they could build the tunnel there, it doesn't mean they should. Firstly, running Tesla's in a tube is a preposterously low capacity solution, and even their idea of self driving 'pods' is little better. Secondly, if the goal is automation, rail based systems using proven tech can do the job. There's a reason the local transit authorities have opted for at-grade or elevated rail rather than going underground. The Vegas loop should deflate the enthusasm to replicate this gadgetbahn concept in other places.

Sex/Life Episode 3 19:50 on Netflix, let's hear your reaction!
+ DynamicUno replied to mkm556's topic in The Lounge
Well, that's going to be the most watched 5 seconds on Netflix for the next week or so. I guess we'll have to see where else Adam Demos pops up in the future. -
Thanks @RadioRob! I'm a little ignorant about how the search engine indexing works, but does that mean the forum is searchable publicly? I wonder if it would be beneficial to limit what google and bing can crawl. Have you set up a robots.txt?

1 strike rule for prospects who don’t pan out?
+ DynamicUno replied to JB_Studio38's topic in Questions About Hiring
It seems you added more background to the interaction with the convention goer than in your original post, so I won't try to go over it in any detail. I wasn't there so I can only consider the circumstance as described. If the guy was really expecting you to be JohnnyCock-on-the-spot when he first contacted you and lost interest in settig a schedule when you made it clear you weren't interested in being 'on call' for his schedule's convenience, then it's probably for the best for you to block him or let him know you're not available if he ever contacts again. I think a lot of guys, especially travellers, look at RM ads like they're ordering from grubhub. It's really tempting to browse the site and try to set somethign up on short notice when you get back to your room and have some free time. And obviously some providers are ok with that kind of business, but not all are. If your ad clearly states that you prefer to be contacted within certain hours and that you're not usually available for short notice sessions, then it's on him for not following your request. You're certainly not obligated to respond to a contact after your cutoff time, you need your downtime just like anyone else. In the interest of trying to be helpful and not critical, the only thing you might have done differently would have been to tell him that if he was interested in setting something up the following evening to contact you before a certain cutoff time (i.e. "I can be open after 6PM tomorrow evening, but please let me know before X PM if you want to set it up." That way, if he doesn't contact you by that time you know you're under no obligation to reach out to him further and your time for that evening is yours to do with as you'd like. If he contacts you after that, you can either ignore him or tell him other plans came up since he didn't firm it up with you, no need to add stress to it after that point. If he gets pissy, it's on him.
