I’ve left negative reviews on RM that have disappeared. I don’t trust them. It’s crazy to me how some escorts will behave. As if we owe them because they look good and are willing to fuck us—for a price. There was talk of entitlement here on the part of clients; there’s a lot of that among providers too. I feel bad for the good providers who get strung along by shitty potential clients but also by shitty providers who make it hard for them by making would-be good clients hesitant. If we all were a bit more reasonable and adult, things would be infinitely easier for everyone!

Not so much that it was negative or aggressive, so much as it was simply persistent. Despite no response from me. Imagine if a client did that.

My experience has been that escorts seem to be much less emotionally invested than clients. They either have a personality disposed to that or are better at compartmentalizing. I don’t think any of my regulars consider me a “friend,” although they’re friendly.

I’ve been pretty clear with my regulars that I’d love to meet more, but sometimes finances just don’t allow me to see them every time they’re in the area. Would I like to? Absolutely. But I simply can’t. I like multiple day visits, so it ends up costing. And I’ve started thinking it’s better to take escorts on vacation, which ends up eating into the budget even more, so there’s less money for just domestic visits. Which I’m with, just have to aware as making plans. All that said, my regulars have been great about that all. It’s good to find decent guys…

@blackriver– Two very different things. I’d have no problem (would welcome it, in fact) if a provider contacted me when in town. It is a red flag if the guy keeps trying to contact me after I don’t respond, complete with phone call attempts…plural.

I’d like to know who you are so I can avoid hiring you. That’s all. If you’d act differently as a provider if we knew what your contact details were than you are acting now when we don’t know what your contact details are, I don’t know that I’d feel totally safe around you. I’d have to be wary the whole time in the back of mind if duplicity is afoot. And just like you as a provider want assurances, we as clients want assurances. If you’re saying baring yourself intimately is somehow upping the ante such that we should be willing to expect to meet higher demands than we would from other service providers, then you as an escort have to be willing to meet us and provide assurances not expected of other service providers. Withholding even the basic means of keeping you accountable as a provider on this site makes me question how trustworthy you are in said intimate situations. The basic minimum for providers is that they provide a means to accountability to clients to prove they’re to some degree accountable for their actions. What you say here as a purported escort (how do we know that to be true even?) is irresponsible insofar as there’s no way we can search “401 rn901” and get info on you to determine if we should consider you a reputable, trustworthy provider. No profile links. Nothing. Yet I’m supposed to feel good about giving you a deposit if I should approach you for services? 🤔

That’s what I do too. If they demand more than that, then I’m sorry but it’s not a good match. Most reasonable guys will a) offer to pay that travel expense anyhow and b) wait a little while for a client to offer. I normally will say up front to a provider traveling any distance that I’ll cover the cost. Some providers will say there’s no need as they’ll lengthen their stay in the area and just stay around. And if a provider talks about money in the first few texts and really nothing else, I’m not interested. I want to know if the service provided is even something I’m interested in before I consider cost. I sometimes will end up paying more foR something if it seems I’m getting something I didn’t anticipate or think of, but if I go in with a fixed price point, I probably won’t buy anything. Same goes for escorts.

A while back, you told me I couldn’t compare escorting to those sorts of jobs because escorts are sharing their bodies. So what is it? Are they comparable or not? Someone who does deliveries isn’t much different than a baker, in my opinion.

I’ve often said that I sometimes find it difficult to communicate with escorts because they for whatever reason decide to be poor communicators. We have heard on here ad nauseam about clients wasting a provider’s time. And desperate clients who hound the hell out of providers. Well, enter this new wrinkle. A provider I was talking to some months ago who had all sorts of red flags…He stops communicating after a while. Suffice it to say that was fine with me. But now in the past two weeks, I’ve gotten several messages from him asking me what happened to me, if I’m okay, etc. He’s called twice as well. Of course, I haven’t answered. I don’t block him because I’m amused by it. I had an escort do a similar thing a few years ago, and I would take his calls. He somehow disappeared at some point, but it was very much him taking advantage of my time. Isn’t it amazing how guys, in this case providers, will be much more communicative when they need something?

There’s also the fact that sex work in the United States is technically still a crime. I don’t think those disclaimers hold up whatsoever if they were ever brought to the light of day in some kind of legal proceeding, however.

@Jamie21– I don’t consider all work talk work. But it does raise an interesting point. Lawyers do work pro bono or offer some services gratis, with the expectation that one seeking insight may become a client. Does a math teacher who helps her nephew with his algebra homework get to say she’s working but the same kid’s dad doesn’t since he’s a barber? Do escorts do pro bono or gratis work? Is offering nude photos in an ad gratis work? I’ve been out and about after I leave the office and because of my uniform, folks approach me and ask for services. I render them but don’t get paid. Is it work? I suppose. It doesn’t strike as something that I need to keep track of and demand compensation for. And seeing as I enjoy my work for the most part, if I’m asked about my expertise or called upon to offer a service “off the clock,” it doesn’t make me feel like I’ve been taken advantage of. Should I feel that way? Your buddy asks you to go on vacation with him to the Bahamas. He says he’ll pay for to sweeten the deal so you can hardly refuse going. He simply doesn’t want to go alone. Let’s assume said buddy knows you’re an escort so he knows under normal conditions time spent with you is comped. Let’s also assume you get intimate one night in Bahamas. Is that work, even though it’s a friend? Or what if he asks sex questions to improve his own hookup life while you guys are chilling one night, don’t even have to get intimate? Is that work? Some friends in service work do want their friends to pay if they provide a work-related service. I just wonder where the work-play line is drawn.

@Jamie21– I’m not an escort, so I’m going to be asked less to go on vacation with a client from work, but of those clients who would likely feel comfortable enough taking me on vacation with them, if I did go with them on vacation – paid by them or by me – I wouldn’t consider going along on vacation with them work. And to be clear: I am comped primarily for my time with these people. Is escorting that strict about being with someone who’s not a friend that it’s work? Or if money is sometimes transacted for services rendered that every interaction is work? Serious question.

I paid everything up front, aside from his compensation, including his Uber to and from the airport when he left his apartment and when he returned to his apartment. He bought me lunch one day we were out and bought me a sandwich (with cheese, which he knows I don’t like so he ended up eating it) on our flight home.
