It’s not just you. And there’s definitely a place for that. But an overnight is a different category than the 1-hr meetup. Question for providers: in an average night, how many guys do you see for an hour? This thread was prompted by a provider telling me he couldn’t do less than $2000/ON. I could understand that if he’d be losing money by booking an overnight when he could book multiple appointments that would amount to more than anything less than $2000. But let’s say he’s charging $400/hr. He’d need 5 guys to engage him at that rate to make $2000/night. I have no real idea how many guys a night a provider sees (or is willing or physically able to see) but it would surprise me if it’s consistently 5 guys a night…So an overnight that includes several hours of sleep for even $1500 or $1200 seems like a deal to the provider. At $400/hr, a provider could charge $1200/overnight, see one guy, sleep, and make as much money as seeing 3 guys without sleep…and how many providers are charging $400/hr and nightly have 3+ guys hitting them up that actually translate into meetups? Maybe I’m missing something.

They can be. But it’s a crapshoot. And my experience (MY experience) is that even the porn stars don’t deliver anything that someone who’s not plastered all over pornhub.com can’t also deliver. And often those who aren’t as well known don’t have the ego to go with the fame… I don’t need to pay for glitz and glam. And I don’t want to be made to feel like taking my money is somehow doing me a favor.

That’s what I mean. I also tip. But it’s mutually enjoyable.

@guru68– a general discussion about rates. It seems it’s a hairy subject. I’ve hired top talent before and paid the premium. My experience was it was dissatisfying.

Extended meeting, yes. I’ve paid well over $2000 for extended meetings. But not for overnights.

That’s the supply and demand.

🙄 Is escorting really that incomparable to other service jobs? I grow fucking weary of people on this forum who say that we can’t compare escorts to other jobs. Yes. Yes, we can. If it’s work, it can be compared to other work. Escorts provide a particular service. They can be (and I might argue, should be) compared, at from a compensation perspective, to other service providers with like levels of education and expertise. The fact that the work is illegal might make it worth a bit more, for the risk, but that doesn’t make it worth that much more.

Definitely… It reminds me of the study some time ago that determines that at around $70k/year, net happiness doesn’t increase. I wouldn’t know, though. But I’d like to give it a whirl! 😂

The thing is… I could pay $2000/ON. I don’t want to. Because when I calculate, $2000/8hrs comes to $250/hr. Some lawyers don’t make that…

There’s always new providers upcoming. Don’t feel like you need to “settle” or despair that the pickings right now are poor. In three months, it’ll be a completely different market.

For me.. No provider can provide me a service that is worth $2000/night. Especially “for time.” Who else here makes $2000 for 8 hours of work, of which some of it’s sleeping, potentially? Unless it’s someone who I’ve booked before and knows me, and they probably already sort of enjoy our time together. And they give a break. I would potentially consider at this point $1500/ON for a porn star. Nothing more than $1200 for someone who’s not. I’m going to start saying no. But for an overnight, my limit is $1500… Comment? Thoughts?

I think there’s a difference between euphemism, circumlocution, and inaccuracy. There’s also the whole mess of “paid for time” leading to providers who don’t want to take the time to discuss a possible booking because they think that should be billable time. We hate the comparison, but I’ll do it again. When you talk to the plumber to describe your problem or have a contractor over to look if they want the job, they don’t charge you for the setup consult. At least not in my experience. I just yesterday was texting a provider about meeting and asked a question about what he provides, to gauge compatibility, and his response was “We’ll be good. Remember I’m paid for my time and getting to know each other takes time.” So the whole coverup of sex work with “paid for time” has, in my opinion, led to that phenomenon. I can’t imagine that the whores of yore billed their clients by the minute…

The fruit of the oak is a nut called an acorn or oak nut borne in a cup-like structure known as a cupule; each acorn contains one seed.

I don’t understand why “escort” is so bad.

I can’t decide if you’re being serious or facetious. Courts have ruled that cops are allowed to lie in the course of conducting business if it’s meant to lead to apprehension. A cop is not obligated one iota to reveal that they’re a cop. In fact, they’re encouraged not to. That’s no protection whatsoever against apprehension.

Say what you mean and mean what you say. Does that still mean anything?

Yes… And we all know that it’s not a donation. As do law enforcement. Here’s another beaut: “Legal Disclaimer: Money exchanged in legal adult personal services is simply for time and companionship. Anything else that may or may not happen is a matter of personal choice between two consenting adults of legal age. It is not contracted for and is not compensated for in any manner.”
-
I know there’s a lot of circumlocution in this hobby, but when we’re talking among ourselves behind aliases and screen names, is it really necessary? Example: Donation…If it’s a donation, then you’ll take less for the same thing? If not, then it’s not a donation. It’s minimally a fee. ”My prefer donation is $350 per hour?” ”Here’s $25.” ”Oh, thanks, man. Every little bit helps.” Is it just me or do you have similar things that bug you like this?

Two things… 1. “Confidence” is different from “cockiness” or “entitlement.” 2. Sometimes people don’t always use the best word to describe what they mean. To the second point, I think we all know what is meant by an overly “confident” provider. There are many providers who act like they’re entitled to a client’s money no matter the service rendered simply because they’re good looking and willing to be with you for a price. They act like they’re doing the client a huge favor instead of recognizing it’s transactional.

I have a think for twinks and twunks…but I like them to top. That’s the difficult part – finding the twink who wants to top… -

I’m going to be pedantic… It seems to me it’s effeminate, not feminine. Go ahead. Stone me.
