Is it just me, or does Puerto Vallarta hold little-to-no appeal? It seems hyped up as nothing more than a gay sex destination. I’m sure I’d feel even better than I already do about my attractiveness to guys if I went there…

What’s clear here is that all these gay men have no clue – no clue – what it’s like to be a woman caught up in the world of men’s power. It’s rather sickening to see how you talk about it. Women face unspeakable, unimaginable hurdles that men – even flamboyant gay men – don’t ever face. To suggest that a woman in a system built by centuries of patriarchy to keep her under men can just assert herself and extricate herself from it without potentially equal-or-worse negative consequences underscores your blindness to the very nature of male privilege. There’s a reason these women keep a lot of this stuff quiet so long, not the least of it being the trauma that comes along with abuse. This thread reeks of male insensitivity to the real objectified plight of women in this world as “objects” of male dominance and manipulation.

Especially among gay men.

I don’t care if sex is understood. If you say “no” then it’s “no.” The victim blaming here is really unsettling. There’s an inherent power imbalance between these women, no matter how un-unprivileged their upbringing, and Hugh Hefner, known round the world as a playboy. There’s no misunderstanding about sex when we hire either, but if someone – escort or client – insists on something that makes either party uncomfortable, that’s wrong. Full stop. That’s not a difficult concept.

Disclaimer: I don’t know the guy nor have I met him. Who doesn’t promise memorable moments? I don’t find his ad at all appealing. Nothing distinctive or distinguishing about him from any other “straight, dom, top.” He’d probably be into findom too, which I just don’t get.

@Reisr30– jedem Tierchen sein Pläsierchen. I simply feel like expecting that as the way forward for every new provider for an overnight – minimally overnight – is unfair and unrealistic. Otherwise we’d always be limited to providers where we are now. And we’d have to arrange before we travel if we were in their area…and we know how much they love to arrange in advance!
