  1. @marylander1940and @WilliamM– I suspect they don’t shoot it on screen because it’s work to prepare. And people will still pay for the tease. If there’s a drop in sales from just the tease, I bet we can expect actual coital action. Until then, why give it out? They have something they can fall back on if the going gets tough.
  2. I had no idea what that meant! 😂 I love the Chinese zodiac myth story. It’s a shame more westerners don’t delve into eastern history and lore. So rich…Just last night I watched a YouTube documentary about cats in Japan down through the ages. So fascinating…and different from my own experience.
  3. It’s not that. It’s the whole persona. I think the stupid mid-20s bacchanalian boy appeals to some.
  4. Careful. When I say the price that providers charge is exorbitant, I’m told to shut up.
  5. Cameras and editing do a lot!
  6. She sent an email out yesterday to various folks, and I responded to just her explaining that some thing in the email was factually incorrect. That's the only thing that I can think. She has sprung things on me in board meetings before and I’ve been visibly irritated, but it’s usually good. I also didn’t expect this kind of behavior and vague sort of allusion without anything concrete from her. She’s usually an adult. And someone I would consult about things. It’s frustrating because, as I said, I’m a people pleaser. And clearly someone is unhappy. Someone powerful. To my knowledge, the board is largely unaware of the trouble. The board supports me, but I don’t like line drawing. The president and others who aren’t board members but department heads and directors of operations often treat me like an inconvenient obstacle to get around instead of someone to work with. There are many fiefdoms. My predecessor embezzled an unknown amount of money, so there is a huge amount of skepticism about a CEO. There have since been practices put into place to keep those things from happening again, but it has cast a pall over the whole operation as far as leadership goes. Add to that that, yes, these people did figure out how to make it go without a permanent CEO, and now they probably don’t like having someone come in and assume the role they used to fill de facto. I feel like I’m treading water in a raging sea and I go under a whole hell of a lot…
  7. People really have no idea… I see so many mouth diapers and chin slings it’s pointless to even get upset about it.
  8. …but I tend to be a people pleaser in real life. My job is working with people 24/7 – whenever I receive the summons, even out of the office. It’s been exhausting the past few weeks as it seems I can’t really please anyone in leadership and the things I do above and beyond my “job description” are accepted as given and little-to-no appreciation seems to be shown for. Simple compliments are really nothing more than expected social pleasantries, and don’t really convey appreciation for things done above and beyond. To be clear, I don’t do things for praise. But the feeling of being unappreciated and taken advantage of is getting exhausting. Today, I get this text message from the president of the board: I am at a loss what her issue is or how I’m undermining her work. I always have said my approach is to make sure the president and I are in lockstep by the time we need to go public with something. That’s the best way to present a successful operation, when the CEO and President of the Board are in public agreement. We often disagree at first, but I am committed to making sure we agree publicly. Since the new president has come on board, it’s been hard to do this. She complains about communication but won’t communicate effectively with me. When a few years ago there was a period without a permanent CEO, the board ran things. She was part of that. She has since then, since my coming on as CEO, said they managed just fine without a permanent CEO. It makes me feel superfluous. I’m not looking for advice. I’m looking for folks who care…I try so damn hard and then I’m shit on. And I honestly don’t know what she’s talking about in that text…
  9. The comments section on the internet is where decency goes to die. Of the 1.3k replies on there, I bet 750 of them are bitching.
  10. @jeezifonly– Eh. I heard about that. Today a few bucks isn’t anything. I see nothing wrong with that. I’m not going to criticize any of the kindness in that whole exchange. It was good all around.
  11. You have no idea idea what I make. No. It’s not my issue. Stop making assumptions about me, please. You’ve done that elsewhere here too.
  12. And if you read what I wrote, I said that. I don’t want to spend time with a guy who thinks he’s that special he’s worth that much. It belies, in my opinion, a certain self-importance that I don’t want to be around. Furthermore, spending time with someone shouldn’t be that much work. My work is spending time with people, and I’m not compensated anywhere near what these guys are. If you have to work that hard at it to be good at it, maybe it’s not something you should offer. Stick to the hourly sessions if it’s so onerous to do an overnight. Unless of course it’s not that much work and you’re just price gouging. There’s no precedent for price gouging in today’s world. None at all. Anyhow, I’m off topic. As I said was the risk. I’ll just end this by saying no amount of escorts or former escorts on here giving me a justification for exorbitant rates is going to change my mind that anything above $1800-$2000 per night for a porn star is worth it. I’m not even going to entertain that much if you’re not a porn star. I’ve done enough overnights (and paid top dollar for some too – more than $2000 for six hours) and I’ll tell you, they’re not any better just because you pay more. In fact, the decent guys who charge less are usually better because they’re not so into themselves and project an air of doing you a favor for taking your money. Just because an escort says it’s a lot of work and he’s good doesn’t make it so. I’d like to see some of these guys do what I do for a week and then reevaluate what’s “a lot of work.”
  13. Have you met with him? He advertises versatile, but with an ass like that it just makes me wonder.
  14. Quite possibly. I was thinking because it’s an older woman.
  15. I guess I watch and read the wrong stuff. It seems my TV and newsfeed is surfeited with negativity.
  16. @StLouisOct– Ain’t that the truth. A good novel will erase the anxieties of the present age for a period…
  17. At the risk of going off topic… I just wonder how many of these guys have multiple 1-hr appointments back-to-back that add up to their overnight payout. And add to that, they get to sleep during – paid to sleep. Sure. Having someone sleep with me is part of the experience, but it’s not like it’s “hard” work to sleep…For a guy to say he “just can’t” do an overnight for less than $2000 when his hourly rate is $400 means he’d need five hires within the 6-8 hr time he’s with me to make that. I could see of he were saying he couldn’t do less than $1200, say, but it seems that it’s just a matter of not wanting to make less than $2000, just for example, for an overnight. The idea of it more than the economics.
  18. That must’ve been a shock. What moved you to be checking out the old newspapers? @BnaC– I think some of that makes a difference if you grew up in a community with immediate neighbors. My closest neighbors were a few miles down the road growing up. That was true for most people in my area. It’s true for a lot of folks even today in rural areas. It might be why we see such a premium put on self reliance by folks from rural areas and why appeals to looking out for other people sometimes fall on unreceptive ears.
  19. Were you there? 😂
  20. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, in my humble opinion, ain’t nobody worth that. These guys are delusional about money. But some will pay it. I love when these guys tell you they “can’t” do less than $1500 for six hours. Do they realize that for some people, that’s an entire pay period?
  21. It is nice to see there are good people out there still. So many only look out for themselves.
  22. https://www.wcvb.com/article/good-deed-massachusetts-oil-delivery-driver-clears-snow-from-87-year-old-steps-nahant/38963819 Good deed: Massachusetts oil delivery driver clears snow from 87-year-old's steps First, it’s nice to see a positive story in the news. But it does strike me as a sad indictment of our times that something like this becomes newsworthy. Are we that desperately hungry for any morsel of good news?
  23. I saw him in the first Magic Mike and was like, “What’s all the fuss?” 🤔
  24. I doubt I’ll ever, in my lifetime, be afforded the opportunity to meet Keanu Reeves in person. He was goodlooking in the first Matrix. I’ll say that.
