While training the new guy he explains don't say we lost him, he's gone, or any of the other euphemisms. I don't have the article on hand, but I read a statement by the CEO of the company that makes the vaccine saying that it has a long immune response memory (or something like that), meaning that the second dose could be given two years out and still be as effective. Kevin Slater

40 minutes in a long line, three with a nurse, then they make you wait 15 minutes to be sure of no reaction. The appointment is for a specific time, but you can disregard that and just show up at any point (on the same day, I'm guessing). They really just want to be sure you have a QR code reflecting a reservation. In theory we should get second shots, but they (appropriately) want to give everybody a first does first. Kevin Slater

Sounds like the mortgage has been around for a while, and I'm guessing at a pretty favorable rate compared to today's climate. If so, perhaps don't rush to pay it off? Those dollars may be better invested elsewhere, while being subsidized by preferential mortgage interest. (OTOH, I do understand the temptation to be free & clear.) Kevin Slater

When I first moved to NYC I expected to beat it like a piñata for maybe five years then move elsewhere. But given that my rental properties are here, I think I'm in the fortunate position of being "stuck" here. Is the logic behind leaving the city to free up home equity or to reduce monthly expenses? The latter doesn't make much sense to me; NYC isn't that much more expensive than elsewhere, especially considering that you'd likely need to get a car and adding in the cost of relocating.
