I think deliberate ambiguity is sometimes the best approach. I also suspect there will be many more doses available now since one vial goes five times further some folk will forgo that second shot (some due to skepticism of the new dosing and delivery, some because prior infection may count as a "dose", some because they feel one is enough) some folk have already received their second doses, either through another jurisdiction or as a second "first dose" I suspect we'll see that window shorten rather quickly. Today NYC announced that walk-ins are eligible for first doses (though they recommend having an appointment) and sex work is now a qualification for getting the vax.

I think the only reasons these slots are available is because they’re the stretched-out doses. I don’t see us reverting to the original dose any time soon. (I read one article implying the feds were only distributing vials to localities agreeing to give lesser doses.) My take would be to go for the bird in the hand, but report back if your fancy doctor with a medical degree thinks she knows better than some random hooker on the net.

The NYC monkeypox vaccine website now says I suspect as they work their way through the backlog, that ten week window will shorten. It looks like these will be the new intradermal fifth-of-the-original-dose shots. They just texted that slots (1st dose and, for those jabbed 10 weeks ago, 2nd doses) will open up at 4pm Friday the 2nd.

There's a lot here that may confuse folk. I think all this stuff about buying next year's ahead of time and delayed transferring them into accounts just applies to the fact that they're gifting them to each other. There's a 10k per calendar year limit on I-bonds purchases (plus another 5k if done via a federal tax refund). You get the rate that's current as of the day of purchase. Kevin Slater

I've posted this before: Buy a sling. Not every client has to use it, but some will love it, and book you because of it. Rubber sheets are a provider's friend. Install a shower douche. Again, some clients will book you simply because you provide that. Learn at least a few basic massage techniques. You can save a ton of money by buying the gallon jug o' lube and decanting into smaller bottles. Offer them a damn shower afterwards. Duh. Don't bother with blocked phone calls. Seriously. He's a time waster. Same for texts that come through from an email address. Hear a voice on the phone before heading over or giving your address. Subsequent booking can be made via text. I own some directly and of course anyone who holds an S&P fund or similar owns some indirectly. A stock split is in itself meaningless (same size pizza, just divided into more slices) but often a sign of management's confidence in the underlying business. Any bump that gives the stock has likely already been priced in when the split was announced. The actual split may drum up some further interest in the stock, but it would just be one factor among many influencing its movement: perceived impact of the Inflation Reduction Act, movement in the price of oil, what happens that day vis-à-vis Musk v. Twitter, movement of other meme stocks... TSLA is probably a fine investment, but as it already has a huge market cap. I wouldn't expect to see the impressive returns of the past. If you're new to investing in stocks, I'd recommend broad-based low fee ETFs, such as IVV (mimics the S&P), which will give you a bite of Tesla and 499 other stocks. Kevin Slater
